Lone Star Conference Golden Glove Awards for softball were announced on Wednesday by league officials at the conference tournament championship reception.
Presented for the 12th season, the Golden Glove awards are determined by a vote of LSC head coaches based on defensive performance alone for all nine positions.
Golden Glove honorees for the 2024 season include shortstop Taylor Rowley from Cameron; Alondra Vasquez, third base from Eastern New Mexico; pitcher Maxine Valdez from Lubbock Christian; Oklahoma Christian's Whitney Walde at catcher and Aaliyah Brown at first base; outfielder Reba Reyes from St. Mary's; outfielder Kristy Alanis from Texas A&M International; from UT Tyler outfielders JT Smith and Sam Schott, and second base Nicole Price; and outfielder Brittni Rufus from West Texas A&M.
Both Alanis and Smith are two-time Golden Glove award recipients, earning honors in 2023.
