The conference is compiled of 11 men’s teams and 12 women’s squads. Angelo State, Cameron, DBU, Eastern New Mexico, Lubbock Christian, Oklahoma Christian, St. Edward’s, Texas A&M-Kingsville, UT Tyler, West Texas A&M and Western New Mexico have men’s and women’s teams. The 2024 LSC Outdoor Track and Field Championships will be held May 9-11 at 1st Community Credit Union Field at LeGrand Stadium in San Angelo, Texas hosted by Angelo State. West Texas A&M has swept the men’s and women’s conference titles the last three years.
The NCAA Division II Championships are set for May 23-25 at Welch Stadium in Emporia, Kan.

MEN’S TRACK
Isaac Botsio, West Texas A&M, So., Sports and Exercise Science, Takoradi, Ghana (Ghana Secondary Technical School)
Botsio ran the fastest time in the world in the 100 meters with a 9.90 at the Jo Meaker Classic & Multi in Canyon, Texas. The West Texas sophomore takes the conference’s top weekly track award for the second straight week. Botsio’s time of 9.90 is legal at +2.2 wind in the NCAA, but was .2 above the Olympic trials standard. It was the first time Botsio broke into the 9s for the 100m. His previous fastest time was 10.05 last week.
MEN’S FIELD
Bryce Spencer, Lubbock Christian, Sr., Exercise Science, Sundown, Texas (SHS)
Spencer set a program record and recorded the top time in all of NCAA Division II with a mark of 62.82 meters in the hammer throw at the Jo Meaker Classic & Multi in Canyon, Texas. The Lubbock Christian senior’s gold-medal winning throw was nearly one meter better than the mark that ranks second in the nation. Spencer, who takes the conference’s top weekly field award for the second time this season, also won gold in the discuss with a throw of 52.05. He currently ranks sixth in the country in that event.
WOMEN’S TRACK
Corrssia Perry, West Texas A&M, Gr., Communication, Carrollton, Ga.
Perry ran the fastest 400 meters time in all of NCAA Division II this season with a 52.25 at the Jo Meaker Classic & Multi in Canyon, Texas. The West Texas A&M graduate student became the first female to break 53 seconds. Perry also posted the second fastest time in the 200 meters with a 23.06. She ranks 53rd in the world in the 200m.
WOMEN’S FIELD
Laiten Greeson, West Texas A&M, Sr., Animal Science, Sublette, Kan. (SHS)
Greeson won first place in the heptathlon with a school-record and personal-best 5,403 points at the Jo Meaker Classic & Multi in Canyon, Texas. The West Texas A&M senior’s total ranks third in all of NCAA Division II this season. WT’s heptathlon record had been standing since 2012 by Morgan Shelton (5,190).
