LSC partners with Linius to increase video experience for fans

RICHARDSON, Texas – The Lone Star Conference is proud to announce a corporate partnership with Linius Technologies Limited to enhance the video experience for the league’s fans and its 17 member institutions. Linius’ sports solution, Whizzard, will be used to curate and publish content to the LSC Digital Network, lonestarconference.org and the conference’s social media platforms.
 
“The Lone Star Conference is delighted to be partnering with Linius to increase the quality, quantity and speed of content for our fans,” LSC Commissioner Jay Poerner said. “Whizzard will make it possible for our small media team to produce and publish highlight videos for the first time. We expect the efficiency of Whizzard to make a huge difference for our team and member schools. Game highlight videos and spotlight videos will drive greater engagement from our fans and create opportunities to monetize the videos through sponsorship, advertising and subscriptions.”
 
The agreement with the Melbourne, Australia-based company includes football, men’s basketball and women’s basketball with capacity to expand to other sports in the future. The LSC is Linius’ first football partnership in the United States.

The online video highlight service is set to go live before the start of the 2024-25 academic year.
