The 2024 Lone Star Conference men's soccer season is underway.
All 11 league teams have played at least one match with Eastern New Mexico, No. 7 Midwestern State, Oklahoma Christian, new league member Sul Ross State, St. Mary’s and UT Tyler still unbeaten.
Conference play begins as early as Oct. 2.
The LSC Men’s Soccer Championship is set for Nov. 9, 15 and 17. Quarterfinals will be on campus, while the semifinals and championship match will be at the site of the No. 1 seed.

OFFENSIVE
Mere Escobar, Midwestern State, F, Sr., Management, Austin, Texas
Midwestern State senior forward Mere Escobar delivered his ninth career multiple-goal match and added two assists to help the nationally-ranked Mustangs to an unbeaten start to the season. Escobar booked a brace and added an assist to fuel a 5-3 win at MSU-Denver. He then assisted on the Mustangs’ only goal in a draw at Regis.
DEFENSIVE
Kris McDonald, Eastern New Mexico, D, Jr., Business Administration, St. Catherine, Jamaica
Eastern New Mexico junior defender Kris McDonald spearheaded a unit that allowed just one goal over two matches and helped the Greyhounds to their first unbeaten start since 2019. McDonald and company shut out Adams State then held for a 1-1 draw against nationally-ranked Fort Lewis. McDonald played all 180 minutes.
GOALKEEPER
Nicklas Berg-Eriksen, Texas A&M International, GK, So., Undecided, Lorenskog, Norway
Texas A&M International sophomore goalkeeper Nicklas Berg-Eriksen made 11 saves and did not allow a goal over two road matches against Delta State and Mississippi College. Playing all 90 minutes, Berg-Eriksen recorded a shutout with five stops in the 2-0 win over Delta State. He logged 135 minutes on the week.
