The Lone Star Conference men’s soccer regular season in complete, and Midwestern State is the league champion. The No. 8-ranked Mustangs (12-3-3 overall, 8-2 LSC)
secured the title on the final day of the regular season.

Midwestern State junior forward Parker Plaxco had a goal and an assist to spearhead a 2-1 comeback road win over St. Mary’s that secured the LSC regular season championship. Plaxco, who wins the league’s top weekly offensive award for the second time this season, set up the tying goal in the 54th minute and netted the game-winner in the 70th minute for the No. 8-ranked Mustangs. He finished the regular season with four game-winning goals to lead the LSC.
DEFENSIVE
Timmy Hollenbeck, St. Edward’s, D, Jr., Kinesiology, Hutto, Texas
St. Edward’s junior defender Timmy Hollenbeck led a unit that shut out West Texas A&M in the regular season finale to secure the No. 2 seed in the LSC tournament. Hollenbeck and company held WT to four shots on goal in the 1-0 match. Hollenbeck’s play helped the Hilltoppers go unbeaten in seven of their last eight matches entering the postseason.
GOALKEEPER
Connor Pettigrew, Lubbock Christian, GK, Gr., Accounting, Frisco, Texas
Lubbock Christian graduate student and goalie Connor Pettigrew had five saves in a road shutout of Sul Ross State. Pettigrew, who wins the LSC’s top weekly goalkeeper award for the second time this season, finished the regular season with an conference-high 62 saves. His play helped the Chaps go unbeaten in five of their last six matches entering the LSC tournament.
