LCU middle blocker Bickley leads 2025 Volleyball All-Academic honorees

 
Lubbock Christian senior Lily Bickley was selected Lone Star Conference Volleyball Academic Player of the Year and leads the 14-member 2025 LSC Volleyball All-Academic Team, it was announced by the league officials on Wednesday (Nov. 19).
 
A biology major, Bickley carries a 4.00 grade-point average and is a two-time LSC All-Academic Team honoree (2024, ’25). She has twice been named College Sports Communicators Academic All-District and six times recognized on the LSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll. On the court, the middle blocker helped the Lady Chaps to the 2025 LSC co-championship and she enters the LSC Volleyball Tournament totaling more than 1,000 career kills while ranking fifth in the league in hitting percentage (.332) and averaging just under three kills a set. Bickley claimed all-conference honors in each of the last three seasons, including spots on the LSC All-Conference First Team in 2024 and 2025.
 
Bickley is joined on the LSC Volleyball All-Academic Team by Madi Parrish, Angelo State; Karly Wells, DBU; Payton Murray and Bryleigh Schweer, Lubbock Christian; Arianna Fields, Midwestern State; Sophie Mae Smith, Oklahoma Christian; Alyssa Koehl, St. Mary’s; Kendall Harrington, Texas A&M-Kingsville; Tori Woods, Texas Woman’s; Sydney Sabini, UT Dallas; Saige Rivera, UT Tyler; and Currie Marusak and Taytum Stow, West Texas A&M.
 
Six players on the 2025 Volleyball All-Academic Team are repeat honorees led by Koehl, a three-time All-Academic selection (2023, ’24, 25). Bickley, Murray, Fields, Rivera, Woods and Stow have twice been named to the All-Academic Team.
 
The All-Academic Team, selected by vote of the LSC sports information directors, recognizes student-athlete accomplishments in the classroom and on the volleyball court. To be eligible for the All-Academic Team ballot, individuals must maintain a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average and have reached sophomore athletic eligibility.
 
As the Volleyball Academic Player of the Year, Bickley is a candidate for the 2025-26 LSC Fred Jacoby Academic Athlete of the Year award which is announced in June.
