LSC Men's Soccer Championship bracket announced

The six-team field has been announced for the 2025 Lone Star Conference Men's Soccer Championship, which will be held Saturday, Nov. 8 (quarterfinals), Wednesday, Nov. 12 (semifinals) and Saturday, Nov. 15 (final). Punching its tickets are Midwestern State, St. Edward’s, Lubbock Christian, DBU, UT Tyler and West Texas A&M.
 
MSU (12-3-3 overall, 8-2-0 LSC) is the top seed after winning its record 13th LSC title with 24 points. The Mustangs, who have won four straight matches and eight of their last nine, earned a bye into the semifinals. MSU has won the last four LSC tournaments and five overall in the event’s six-year history. The year the Mustangs did not win (2020), they reached the title match. MSU leads the conference with a 1.944 scoring average and .83 opponents’ scoring average. The Mustangs are ranked No. 6 in the latest NCAA Division II Super Region 4 rankings and No. 8 in the latest United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Poll.
 
St. Edward’s (8-5-4, 6-2-2) is the No. 2 seed with 20 points and also claimed a bye into the semifinals. The Hilltoppers have gone unbeaten in seven of their last eight matches.
 
Lubbock Christian (6-7-4, 5-2-3 LSC) is the No. 3 seed with 18 points, followed by No. 4 seed DBU (7-6-4, 4-3-3, 15 points), No. 5 seed UT Tyler (7-7-3, 4-4-2, 14 points) and No. 6 seed WT (6-8-2, 3-5-2, 11 points). WT won the conference tournament crown in 2020.
 
The quarterfinals will feature LCU hosting WT at 7 p.m. CT and DBU hosting UTT at 6 p.m. CT. In the semifinals, MSU will host the DBU-UTT winner at 5 p.m. CT, while SEU will host the LCU-WT victor at 7 p.m. CT. The title match will be hosted by the highest remaining seed. The start time for the final will be announced Nov. 13.
 
The winner of the event will be named the LSC Men’s Soccer Tournament champion and earn the league’s automatic qualification to the 2025 NCAA Division II Championship. The regional selection show is Nov. 17 at 6 p.m. CT on NCAA.com. After the first round (Nov. 21), second round (Nov. 23), third round (Nov. 30) and quarterfinals (Dec. 6) at sites to be determined, the national semifinals (Dec. 12) and final (Dec. 14) are scheduled be at Weidner Field in Colorado Springs, Colo.

NOTE: New league member UT Dallas had 22 points and Sul Ross State had 11 points, but due to both being NCAA Division II provisional members, they are not eligible for postseason play.
