Six LSC men's basketball teams advance to South Central Regional

NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Championship Bracket

DBU, Lubbock Christian, Midwestern State, St. Edward’s, St. Mary’s and West Texas A&M are all headed to the NCAA Division II South Central Regional, it was announced on Sunday evening.

LSC regular season and tournament champion DBU (30-4) is the top seed and will serve as host at Burg Center in Dallas, Texas. The single-elimination event is set for March 15-16 and 18.

LCU (25-8) will be the No. 3 seed, followed by No. 4 seed Midwestern State (22-7), No. 5 seed St. Edward’s (21-12), No. 6 seed St. Mary’s (19-10) and No. 7 seed West Texas A&M (19-11).

Colorado School of Mines is the No. 2 seed and Regis is No. 8 to round out the bracket.

First-round matchups include DBU-Regis and MSU-SEU on one side of the bracket, and Mines-WT and LCU-StMU on the other side.

The regional winner will advance to the Elite Eight on March 25-29 at Ford Center in Evansville, Ind.
