Grace Foster has been named the 2025 Lone Star Conference Women's Basketball Academic Player of the Year, leading the five-player Women's Basketball All-Academic Team announced by the Conference on Wednesday (March 5).
A criminal justice major from Childress, Texas, Foster is a two-time LSC Academic Player of the Year honoree (2024, '25) and named to the All-Academic Team for a third season. Foster, who carries a 4.00 grade-point average, was named to the CSC Division II Academic All-America First Team in 2024, and has been cited for LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll recognition throughout her career. On the basketball court, the forward leads the LSC statistics for free throw percentage (.884) and three-point field goal percentage (.490) and ranks second in scoring (19.1 ppg).
Foster is joined on the 2025 LSC Women's Basketball All-Academic team by Madeline Stephens, Angelo State; Audrey Robertson, Lubbock Christian; Ashley Ingram, Texas Woman's; and Meagan Mendazona, UT Tyler.
Both Foster and Ingram are three-time LSC Women's Basketball All-Academic Team members while Stephens is a two-time honoree.
The Women's Basketball All-Academic Team, selected by vote of the LSC sports information directors, recognizes student-athlete accomplishments in the classroom and in their sport To be eligible for the All-Academic Team ballot, individuals must maintain a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average and have reached sophomore athletic eligibility.
Foster will be a candidate for the 2024-25 LSC Fred Jacoby Academic Athlete of the Year award to be announced in June.
