Pagotto Headlines LSC Men’s Basketball Academic Award Honorees

 
West Texas A&M sophomore Noah Pagotto is the 2025 Lone Star Conference Men’s Basketball Academic Player of the Year and leads the five-player Men’s Basketball All-Academic Team announced by the Conference on Wednesday (March 5).
 
Majoring in Pre-Engineering, Pagotto carried a 4.0 grade-point average and has earned LSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll citation in each of his three semesters at WT. A 6-7 guard from Wollongong, Australia, Pagotto leads the Buffs in rebounding (6.1 rpg) and is second among scorers (14.0 ppg) with starts in all 28 games. Pagotto was an LSC All-Freshman Team pick a year ago  
 
Pagotto is joined on the 2025 LSC Men’s Basketball All-Academic team by Xavion Brown, DBU; Ty Caswell and Aaron Gonzales, Lubbock Christian; and Nikolaus Gustavson, UT Tyler.
 
Gonzales is a three-time and Caswell a two-time LSC Men’s Basketball All-Academic Team member.

The Men’s Basketball All-Academic Team, selected by vote of the LSC sports information directors, recognizes student-athlete accomplishments in the classroom and in their sport To be eligible for the All-Academic Team ballot, individuals must maintain a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average and have reached sophomore athletic eligibility.

Pagotto will be a candidate for the 2024-25 LSC Fred Jacoby Academic Athlete of the Year award to be announced in June.
