Texas A&M-Kingsville falls to Northwest Missouri State, 49-20: Texas A&M-Kingsville could not overcome a 14-point second quarter by Northwest Missouri State as it fell 49-20 at Bearcat Stadium. The Javelinas were outgained in yardage,193-78, in the second quarter and trailed 21-7 at halftime. TAMUK made it 28-20 in the fourth quarter on a 42-yard Daniel Gauna field goal, but NWMSU answered with three scores. Blake Jaques had a sack and Travis Bielfeld had an interception for TAMUK. West Texas A&M tops Western New Mexico in conference opener, 58-27: West Texas A&M secured a decisive 58-27 victory over Western New Mexico to open up LSC action at Ben Altamirano Field highlighted by six touchdown passes and 514 passing yards. RJ Martinez led the Buffs by completing 19 of 28 passes for 388 yards and five touchdowns – two to Trevin Edwards (137 yards on seven receptions). C’ing Blanton contributed significantly as well, with two catches totaling 104 yards and two TDs. On the defensive side for WT, Jahmek Armstrong recorded two sacks and Johnny Taylor and Antonio Moriillo each forced a fumble. WT put up 684 yards of total offense to mark the most by the Buffs since 2013. Of those, 514 came thru the air for the most passing yards by since 2010. For WNMU, Connor Ackerely was 27 of 42 passing for 324 yards and four TDs – two to Deuce Zimmeramn. WT led 42-7 at halftime. Complete Release
 

 
Division I Stephen F. Austin beats Sul Ross State, 63-0: Sul Ross State fell 63-0 to Division I Stephen F. Austin at Homer Bryce Stadium. SFA built up a 56-0 lead at halftime. Evian Thompson (nine tackles), Brendon Martin (eight tackles) and Darryl Minor Jr. (sack) led SRSU on defense. Jacob France averaged 41.1 yards on seven punts with a long of 49. Complete Release
 

 
No. 8 Angelo State outruns Eastern New Mexico in league opener, 31-20: No. 8 Angelo State opened LSC play with a 31-20 win over Eastern New Mexico after a lengthy weather delay at Al Whitehead Field at Steve Loy Family Foundation Stadium. With the victory, the Rams extended their conference winning streak to 13 games. Chad Pharies (77 yards, two touchdowns) and Kaeden Smith (70 yards) led the ground attack for ASU, which completed just one pass for 12 yards. Zeek Freeman ran back a kickoff in the second quarter for 88 yards to make it 14-7. Xavier Johnson ran for 103 yards for ENMU and Chad Ragled had two rushing TDs. Defensively, ASU was led by Owen Seaver’s eight tackles, two sacks and one forced fumble. ASU led 24-7 at halftime. Complete Release
 

 
Western Oregon defeated by Division I Cal Poly, 56-7: Western Oregon fell to Division I Cal Poly 56-7 on at Spanos Stadium. Jordan McCarty found Cody Hall for a 29-yard touchdown pass for WOU's TD in the third quarter. McCarty finished 23-for-40 for 261 yards. Tyler Copeland led WOU’s defense with an interception and six tackles. Andre Northup also had a pick and Nijawn Sterling and LJ Imo added sacks for the Wolves. Complete Release
