No. 13 Central Washington, No. 23 UT Permian Basin and Texas-A&M-Kingsville all improved to 4-0 in Lone Star Conference league play, while Western New Mexico and Angelo State also took care of business during Week 6.

Western New Mexico 61, Eastern New Mexico 55: Western New Mexico totaled 661 yards of total offense – 419 on the ground – and topped Eastern New Mexico 61-55 in the annual Chile Bowl game at Ben Altamirano Field in Silver City, N.M. Devon Nofoa-Masoe ran for 201 yards and two TDs on 26 carries to lead WNMU’s rushing attack. Jase Ashley added 156 yards and two TDs on 13 carries and was also 12-for-19 for 242 yards and three TDs through the air. Zakkarii Black (four catches for 105 yards and a TD) was his favorite target. It was a one-possession game with 3:54 left to play when Nofoa-Masoe ran 24 yards for a TD to seal the win and snap a four-game skid. ENMU had 630 yards of total offense, led by Cooper Clifton (21 rushes for 168 yards and four TDs and 22-for-30 passing for 295 yards and one score). ENMU’s Darwin Parker caught six passes for 103 yards. WNMU’s Clayton Zenter had a game-high 13 tackles. Both kickers (WNMU’s Nathan Flores and ENMU’s Kaden Down) were 7-for-7 on extra-point attempts.

Texas A&M-Kingsville 58, Western Oregon 51: Christian Kretz caught 16 passes for 291 yards and two touchdowns as Texas A&M-Kingsville collected a 58-51 win over Western Oregon at McArthur Field in Monmouth, Ore. The Javelinas are now 4-0 in league play. It was a tie game, 41-41 to begin the fourth quarter. WOU took a lead on a Jayshon Limar four-yard TD run at the 11:55 mark, but TAMUK answered at 7:58 on a seven-yard TD pass from Mills Dawson to Nate Barnett. The Javelinas got the game-winner on a Levi Fontenot 1-yard TD run with 1:48 to play. Kretz has 43 catches and seven TDs during the Javelinas’ winning streak. Mills finished 28-for-40 for 408 yards and three TDs without an interception, while Edward Chumley ran for 99 yards and a TD. WOU got two rushing TDs from Limar and Jordan McCarty (12-for-23 for 248 yards a score). TAMUK’s Travis Bielefeld had 12 tackles and 2.5 sacks and Daniel Gauna was 3-for-3 on field goals and 7-for-7 on extra-point attempts. WOU, which led 28-23 at halftime, got 15 tackles and a sack from Isaiah Mosley.

Angelo State 64, Sul Ross State 0: Angelo State totaled five turnovers and scored touchdowns on three of them to cruise to a 64-0 win over Sul Ross State at LeGrand Stadium in San Angelo, Texas. Brody McGee had a 55-yard fumble recovery, Hunter Boudreaux returned an interception 45 yards and Athen Dominguez took back a fumble recovery 81 yards – all in the second quarter as ASU built a 45-0 lead at halftime. Quentin Lucas had two sacks and forced one of the fumbles as ASU held SRSU to negative 33 yards rushing. Maddox Maher was 8-for-13 for 138 yards and two TDs to lead the Rams’ balanced offensive attack. Paden Maass made all three of his field goal attempts and added seven extra points. Byron Carter had 11 tackles and Jaeden Servantez had seven tackles and two sacks for the Lobos.

No. 23 UT Permian Basin 24, West Texas A&M 17: Nate TenBarge threw and ran for a touchdown and No. 23 UT Permian Basin forced three turnovers to record a 24-17 win over West Texas A&M at Buffalo Stadium in Canyon, Texas. UTPB improved to 4-0 in league play. TenBarge was 17-for-33 passing for 202 yards. Jaden Welch forced a fumble, while McKyle So’oto and Nicholas Butler had interceptions for the Falcons. WT pulled within 21-17 with 14:45 to play when Knox Porter connected with Joseph White on a 34-yard pass. UTPB’s Diego Chavarria made a 22-yard field goal with 9:10 left to complete the scoring. UTPB held WT to 48 rushing yards and did not allow a TD in the second and third quarters. Porter finished 26-for-52 passing for 287 yards. Daytin Navy had an interception and three pass break-ups for WT.

No. 13 Central Washington 44, (RV) Midwestern State 29: No. 13 Central Washington totaled 506 yards of total offense and topped Midwestern State 44-29 at Tomlinson Stadium in Ellensburg, Wash. Ryder Bumgardner (22 carries for 89 yards) ran for three touchdowns and Isaac Torres (eight catches for 182 yards) caught two TDs to lead CWU, which improved to 4-0 in conference play. MSU had its three-game winning streak snapped. CWU’s Justin Brennan was 20-for-29 for 299 yards passing and also ran for a score. It was a 21-21 game with 6:14 to play in the second quarter before CWU scored 23 straight points and led 44-21 with 3:11 left. MSU’s Kaden Brown was 23-for-37 passing for 238 yards and two TDs and Joseph Dodds had 114 yards and a TD on 16 carries. CWU’s King Williams and Joseph Jefferson II each had an interception, while Trishion Sullivan registered two sacks. Brycen Lewis had a game-high 14 tackled and Ethan Dishman had nine stops and an INT.
