NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Championship Bracket
No. 1 Texas Woman’s, No. 6 West Texas A&M, Lubbock Christian, UT Tyler and Eastern New Mexico are all headed to the NCAA Division II South Central Regional, it was announced on Sunday evening.
LSC regular season and tournament champion TWU (29-1), which has won 28 games in a row, is the top seed and will serve as host at Kitty Magee Arena in Denton Texas. The single-elimination event is set to begin Saturday (March 14).
WT (28-4) will be the No. 2 seed, followed by No. 6 seed LCU (23-7), No. 7 seed UTT (21-10) and No. 8 seed ENMU (20-10).
Colorado Mesa (33-1) is the No. 3 seed, UCCS (21-10) is No. 4 and Adams State (22-10) is No. 5 to complete the bracket.
First-round matchups include TWU-ENMU and UCCS-AS on one side of the bracket, and WT-UTT and LCU-CM on the other side.
The winner of the South Central Regional will advance to the Elite 8, which will be held March 24-28 at UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse in Pittsburg, Pa.
