Six LSC men's basketball teams headed to South Central Regional; DBU will host

NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Championship Bracket

No. 23 DBU, No. 12 Eastern New Mexico, No. 8 Lubbock Christian, Western New Mexico, St. Edward’s, St. Mary’s are all headed to the NCAA Division II South Central Regional, it was announced on Sunday evening.

LSC regular season and tournament champion DBU (27-6), which has won 12 games in a row, is the top seed and will serve as host at Burg Center in Dallas, Texas. The single-elimination event is set to begin Saturday (March 14).

ENMU (26-5) will be the No. 2 seed, followed by No. 3 seed LCU (27-5), No. 4 seed WNMU (22-7), No. 5 seed SEU (24-8) and No. 7 seed StMU (21-9).

No. 13 Black Hills State (27-4) is the No. 6 seed and Colorado Mesa (21-10) is No. 8 to round out the bracket.

First-round matchups include DBU-CM and WNMU-SEU on one side of the bracket, and ENMU-StMU and LCU-BHS on the other side.

The winner of the South Central Regional will advance to the national quarterfinals and semifinals, which will be held March 25 and 27, respectively, at UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse in Pittsburg, Pa. The national championship game is set for April 5 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Ind.
