The Lone Star Conference fall golf season is underway for the women, while the men will begin this week.
 
Five of the LSC’s 13 women’s team were in action at the WinStar Invitational at WinStar Golf Club in Thackerville, Okla., with DBU taking the team title and West Texas A&M’s Mia Hammerscmid winning medalist honors.
 
The LSC Women’s Golf Championships are set for April 12-14 at Rockwall Golf & Athletic Club in Rockwall, Texas. The LSC Men’s Golf Championships will take place the following week (April 19-22) at the same location.

St. Mary’s (women) and Cameron (men) are the defending conference champions.

The NCAA Division II Women’s Golf Super Regional (South Central and West Regions) will take place May 3-5 at Victoria Club in Riverside, Calif. The national tournament is set for May 10-15 at Mission Resort Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla.
 
The NCAA Division II Men’s Golf Super Regional (South Central and West Regions) will take place May 6-8 at The Dominion Country Club in San Antonio, Texas. The national tournament is set for May 17-21 at PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.

WOMEN’S
Mia Hammerschmid, West Texas A&M, So., Business, Düsseldorf, Germany
West Texas A&M sophomore Mia Hammerschmid sank a three-foot birdie on the final hole to win the individual title at the WinStar Invitational at par-72 WinStar Golf Club in Thackerville, Okla. Hammerschmid carded a four-under 72-70-70—212 in her fall season debut. She had four birdies in the final round and 11 overall. It was Hammerschmid’s second career medalist finish.
