Beth Jillson
We are super excited to be conference champions for the first time in TWU in any sports. It was a hard-fought battle, and we just came out on top against three opponents. I am so proud of our players. The stats are neck-and-neck, and one possession was the difference in the game. Our defense made a difference in the end of the game.

We felt we could go at them in the second half, but both teams were in foul trouble. I knew we would have to be tough and guard well inside. I thought overall, with the height advantage inside, we played pretty well down low.

We are fired up to be in the regional tournament. We are excited about the opportunity. We know we are the underdogs, but we know what we need to do to play good teams and be prepared.

Kayla Weaver
We called the play for man, but they jumped out in zone, and I knew the shot clock was running down and I just put it up. Beckley is a very good player, and it was a tough game.

Brooke Shepherd
I just knew that this was possibly our last game, so I just wanted to do what I like to do and the three was bound to fall sometime.

We have matured as a team and are peaking at the right moment. We have all the confidence in the world right now, and I am excited to go to regionals.

Guy Hardaker
Sitting here looking at the stat sheet, and everything is pretty close. We let some shooters get away from us, and I thought they outworked us tonight. There may be a little fatigue there, but we let one get away from us. I felt like whoever got the last shot was going to win it, and we just came up a little bit short. I was disappointed by our defense tonight.

Congrats to TWU for having a great week. Beth has really turned that program around, and they have a great team.

Hopefully we are not done, and we will get a bid, and we look forward to the challenge. This team really deserves it. We have seven players not on our roster today that have suited or would have suited up for us this year. I think my team is getting better every time out. We lost one tonight, but we didn’t give it to them. We fought hard, and I am proud of these girls. I wouldn’t trade them for anything.

Alyssa Fuxa
There is no excuse to why we loss, and I don’t want to make excuses because everyone is tired at this point. They just made a few nice shots there at the end, and we couldn’t so hats off to Texas Woman’s.

Ashley Beckley
They use my ball handling skills to get to the basket, but thinking back to the game, maybe should have taken the ball in. Hats off to TWU for getting the win.
