Awards Dinner: An awards dinner will be Sunday, April 20, at 7:00 PM, in Salons ABC of the Granite Ballroom at Horseshoe Bay Resort Marriott. Each team has six tickets included in the entry fee. Any additional players, staff members, or family members are welcome to attend at a cost of $25 per person. Awards will be presented to the 2014 LSC All-Conference honorees for men and women. As this year’s dinner will be conducted immediately following the practice rounds, ‘golf’ attire is acceptable (please encourage gentlemen to remove hats).
Seedings: Both men’s and women’s seedings (first day only) will be based on the Golfstat.com head-to-head national rankings.
Team Scoring: The low four scores of each round will be counted.
Medal/Match Scoring: For the match play portion of the championships, the 4 teams will be placed into a bracket with the #1 seed playing the #4 seed and the #2 seed versus the #3 seed competing in medal/match play, similar to what is used at NCAA Division II nationals. (It is stroke play over 18 holes, but low score wins each individual match). A total of five points will be available with one point being awarded for each individual match. Winning teams will advance to the finals on Tuesday, losing teams will play for third place on Tuesday. The first team to win three points within the team match will advance, or in the case of the final match be declared the conference champion. All individual matches will be played to completion.
Awards: Team: Championship trophies for Men and Women
Individual: Medalist and All-Tournament Team (top five and ties) for Men and Women
All-Tournament: The top five (5) individuals and ties shall be named All-Tournament. The conference medalist will be the individual with the lowest score at the LSC Tournament. For match play, the all-tournament team consists of two players from the winning team and one player from all others.
