No. 13 West Texas A&M defeated No. 22 St. Edward's on
penalty kicks Friday night in San Diego, Calif. in the third round
of the NCAA South Central Regional.
The two teams played 110 minutes of scoreless soccer before the
Lady Buffs prevailed 4-1 in the shootout to earn the program's
first-ever Elite Eight berth. Lindsay McHorse, Adi Stein, Becky
Hewson and Miriam Dominguez scored the PK goals for WTAMU.
The Lady Buffs (15-2-4) will play Cal State-Dominguez Hills in the
national quarterfinals on Sunday at 2 p.m. CST.
