West Texas A&M heads to the third annual Lower Kanza Bowl for more than just a football game. WT will take part in a full schedule of events including community activities before the game against Central Missouri on Sunday, November 27.
The Buffaloes will arrive on Friday and check into the Topeka Ramada, which will be serving as the team headquarters. After a short practice at Hummer Sports Park, the squad heads to the Kanza Bowl Banquet.
After breakfast on Saturday, WT has the choice of visiting the Kansas State Capitol before a stop at the Brown v. Board of Education Museum. The U.S. Supreme Court decision in Brown v. Board of Education (1954), which challenged the constitutionality of racial segregation in public schools, is one of the most pivotal opinions ever rendered by that body.
Sunday’s festivities start at 9 a.m. with a pregame tailgating party to include food, fun and games. WT will arrive at Hummer Sports Park via police escort at 10:45 a.m. to prepare for the game, which kicks off at 1 p.m.
