Lions Claim Share of LSC Title with 48-21 Win Over WT
Commerce, Texas – The No. 23 ranked Lions (6-1) delivered a 48-21 win over West Texas A&M (4-3), and guaranteed themselves at least a share of the Lone Star Conference title for the first time since 1990.
The Lions are now 5-0 in conference, and have the opportunity to go undefeated in conference for the first time in 24 years when the 1990 squad accomplished the feat going 7-0.
Coming off a three interception-game last week at Angelo State, Lions quarterback Tyrik Rollison bounced back in a big way, dishing out three long touchdown passes on the night. The longest was a spectacular 61-yard strike to Ricky Collins midway through the second quarter, which gave the Lions a 16-14 lead that they would not relinquish. Rams earn 57-31 LSC road win over Javelinas
KINGSVILLE – Five defensive takeaways, a punt return for a touchdown and 615 total yards of offense helped lead the Angelo State football team to a 57-31 Lone Star Conference win over Texas A&M-Kingsville on Saturday at Javelina Stadium.
Kyle Washington led the Rams (4-2, 3-2 LSC) with 292 yards passing and Ryan Byrd ran for a season-high 143 yards, while ASU also got interceptions from Ryan Clapsaddle and Blair Smith along with fumble recoveries from London Dial, Jonathan Shannon and Andy Gonzalez. Paul Mason had the special team's play of the game with a 38-yard punt return for a touchdown against the Javelinas (1-6, 0-5 LSC). Byrd finished the night averaging 8.4 yards per carry on 17 rushes and has now rushed for 517 yards this season.
Washington ran for two touchdowns and threw for four more with Talon Smith catching a career high two touchdowns from Washington and Brett Rasberry and James Hurd catching one each. Warren Truesdale connected with Dakarai Pecikonis for the final score on a 15-yard touchdown pass. Mustangs rip McMurry, 71-13
WICHITA FALLS, Texas — Midwestern State enjoyed its most prolific scoring night since 2007 on the way to a routing McMurry 71-13 Saturday night at Memorial Stadium.
The Mustangs rolled up 566 yards of total offense as seven different players scored touchdowns in MSU's largest win since beating Texas A&M-Kingsville 73-6 during the 2007 season.

Texans beat Eastern New Mexico with another record performance
BLACK WATER DRAW, NM – Tarleton State continued to rip up the record books Saturday night as the Texans won their second straight game in a 59-42 barnburner against Eastern New Mexico.
This is also the first time since the first two games of the 2002 season that Tarleton State has scored at least 50 points in back-to-back games.
