Three Lone Star Conference teams - West Texas A&M, Texas A&M-Kingsville, and Tarleton State - were selected for the 2014 NCAA Division II Baseball Championship.

WT is the second seed, LSC Champion TAMUK is seeded third, and LSC Tournament Champion TSU the fifth seed.

The Buffs and Texans will face each other in the opening round Thursday, while the Javelinas play No. 5 St. Edward’s.

Colorado Mesa earned the number one seed and the right to host the South Central Regional at Suplizio Field in Grand Junction, Colo. The Mavericks will take on sixth seeded New Mexico Highlands in a battle of RMAC foes.

The championship provides for eight regional sites hosting six teams. All regionals are double-elimination tournaments and will be played May 15-18. Regional champions will advance to the double-elimination championship finals May 24-31 at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina. The finals will be hosted by the University of Mount Olive and the town of Cary, North Carolina.
