Cameron won its third straight and 11th overall Lone Star Conference men’s golf championship, while Tarleton State claimed its ninth women's title. The annual league event was held on the La Paloma Course at Tascosa Golf Club in Amarillo, Texas.
CU topped Midwestern State 3-1-1 in the championship medal match. The Aggies Daniel Nielsen was the individual medalist at even-par 142 (72-70) after defeating teammate Cullen Stahl in a one-hole playoff.
Texas A&M-Commerce won the third-place medal match over West Texas A&M 3-1-1.
The men’s all-tournament included CU’s Nielsen, Stahl and Ward, MSU’s Jared Baker, and A&M-C’s Garrett Landerss

On the women's side, the TexAnns went around the course at 24-over-par (298-294=592), led by Casey Wild and Beatriz Prados, who both finished at four-over-par 146.
In a close team race, MSU finished second (594), while WT (598) was third.
The Lady Buffs Whitlee Woods finished at two-over 144 for individual medalist honors.
Woods was joined by teammate Glory Jangthongsiri, TSU’s Wild and Prados, and MSU’s Sierra Campbell and Hayley Dambold on the all-tournament team.
