National Schedule & Results 2025-26 Scoreboard
Two weeks remain for regular-season Lone Star Conference men's and women's golf with teams readying for the conference championship competing in tournaments from Colorado, Florida, Texas, New Mexico and Arizona.
LSC Women
The last March weekend of LSC women's play starts with UT Permian Basin at New Mexico Junior College for a Friday dual match (March 27). On Monday and Tuesday (March 30-31), Midwestern State is scheduled for the Lamar College Challenge in Beaumont, Texas, and both DBU and St. Mary's head to Boca Raton, Fla., for the Lynn Invite. ... The March 25 Scoreboard poll has three LSC teams their places from the previous week -- DBU at No. 2, UT Tyler at No. 5, St. Mary’s at No. 17. ... The second NCAA Division II West Region ranking releases on Friday (March 27) and will have teams in numerical ranked order. The initial region list included eight LSC teams in alphabetical order.
Week in Review
- Southern Colorado Open (36 holes, Mar. 22-23): The three LSC teams all finished among the Top 10 led by UT Dallas' runner-up showing (593-295, 298) and a trio of Top 10 individuals: Camilah Porras (3rd/even 144-72, 72), Brooke Yount (4th,145- 73, 72) and Carla VanRemmen (9th-T, 149-74, 75). Margret Nyamukondiwa went 1-under (143-73, 70) tying for first place to lead Texas A&M International in a tie at third on the team leaderboard (607). Western New Mexico tied at eighth (625) behind Alexandria Klemke's 14th-place tie (151-77, 74).
- Hardscrabble Invitational (54 holes, Mar. 23-24): Midwestern State posted a five stoke win in the 14-team tournament (899-300, 295) as Lubbock Christian (4th/935) and Cameron (7th/965) finished in the upper half. Mary Kerr (2nd/220), Romane Lacoste (3rd/222) and Kodi Nolen (5th/228) led the MSU squad. Lacoste shot a tournament low 66 in her third round. Ali Escamilla tied at 10th (233) to lead LCU while Valentina Leyva was Cameron's low scorer (15th/234).

LSC Men
Men's teams close the March schedule playing in one of two tournaments Monday and Tuesday (March 30-31). St. Mary's will be in Pensacola, Fla., at the Argonaut Invitational with Lubbock Christian, UT Dallas, West Texas A&M and Western New Mexico in Pueblo, Colo., for The Sam Proal. ... St. Mary's moved to No. 9 in the March 25 Scoreboard ranking followed by West Texas A&M (17), DBU (21) and UTPB (24) in the Division II top 25 teams. The next Bushnell/Golfweek Coaches Poll will be posted later this week. ... The second NCAA Division II South Central Region ranking is expected on Friday (March 27) with teams in numerical ranked order. The LSC had seven teams in the first region alphabetical list (March 13).
Week in Review
- UC San Diego Invitational (54 holes, Mar. 22-24): Both Vertti Perala and Juan Cruz Repetto carded 7-over 223s on the Torrey Pines course to lead Oklahoma Christian (17th/398- 301, 304, 293), the only non-Division I team in the tournament.
- Midwestern State Invitational (54 holes, Mar. 23-24): UT Permian Basin and individual medalist Will Tate led both teams and players wire-to-wire in winning the 18-team tournament. UTPB finished 2-under as a team (850-284, 277, 289) while Tate was a hot 10-under (203-67, 68, 68). Cameron, St. Mary's and DBU came in at third, fourth and fifth, respectively, with UT Dallas just outside the Top 10 at 11th. Five players joined Tate with under-par or even scores: CU's Carson Wright (6-under 207) and Rory Gorman (4-under 209); DBU's Sam Jenkins (4-under 209); UTD's Tyler Durkin (1-under 212) and UTPB Nizar Bonrehim (even 213).

Championship Season Ahead
The Rockwall Golf and Athletic Club is the site for the
LSC Golf Championship Tournaments. The women tournament is set for April 13-14-15 with DBU as defending champion. The men follow April 20-21-22 with Midwestern State looking to defend its title. . . . The
NCAA Division II Golf Championship tournaments fill the month of May. Women are set for the South Central/West Regional May 4-6 in Pueblo, Colo., followed by the national finals May 12-16 in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. Men's Super Regional play is May 7-9 in Stockton, Calif., with the national finals May 18-22 in Boulder City, Nev.

WOMEN
Margret Nyamukondiwa, Texas A&M International, Sr., Business Management, Harare, Zimbabwe
Texas A&M International senior Margret Nyamukondiwa moved up two spots in the final round of the Southern Colorado Open, tying for medalist honors after firing rounds of 73 and 70 to finish 1-under par. The senior recorded nine birdies over the two rounds and claimed her second top five finish in the 2025-26 season. Nyamukondiwa's play led Texas A&M International to a tie at third in the 15-team event.
MEN
Will Tate, UT Permian Basin, Sr., Mechanical Engineering, Reading, England
Will Tate successfully defended his Midwestern State Invitational title, posting a 10-under 203 (67, 68, 68) for back-to-back medalist honors and lead UT Permian Basin to the team win. The senior led the tournament after each of the three rounds opening with a 4-under 67 for round one and was 7-under heading into the final round. Tate's performance put him in the UTPB record book as the three-round 203 set the Falcons' mark by one stroke and his two-round 135 ties as the second-lowest two-round score.
