LSC VOLLEYBALL
Angelo State went 3-1 the Colorado Premier Tournament to finish in third place and achieve its highest AVCA ranking in program history at No. 5. Tarleton State finished fourth at the event with a win over No. 15 Central Missouri.
Lone Star Conference action starts this week, with on game Tuesday and five LSC contests on Friday and Saturday.
LSC volleyball teams are 40-47 overall this season. The squads are currently 15-16 combined versus Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference teams, and 3-4 against the Heartland Conference, which are the other leagues in the NCAA South Central Region.

PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
OFFENSIVE
Sundara Chinn, Angelo State University, SO, Houston, Texas, Bellaire
Chinn was selected to the Colorado Premier Tournament all-tournament team and was a major role player in the Belles offensive onslaught this week in wins over Adams State, Florida Southern, MSU Denver, and Tarleton State. The newcomer has been a major asset to ASU not only assisting the team to a third place finish in the tournament, but also helping it to achieve its highest ranking in program history at No. 5. The right side hitter tallied 55 total kills over the week averaging her 3.44 kills per set and a .301 clip. She set a pair of career highs firing in 19 kills and digging five balls against No. 2 ranked Concordia-St. Paul. Defensively, she also recorded a team second 13 total blocks for the week.
DEFENSIVE
Morgan Seaton, Angelo State University, SR, Big Spring, Texas, Big Spring
Seaton, who helped the No. 5 Belles to finish third overall at the Colorado Premier Tournament, anchored the team's stout defense in victories over Adams State, Florida Southern, MSU Denver, and Tarleton State. The senior headed ASU with 18 total blocks, which includes three solos. This included a season high eight-block performance against MSU Denver on day one of the tournament. In addition, she added 15 total digs to her numbers from the middle blocker position, a season high six of those coming in the match against Tarleton. The Big Spring native also assisted the offensive attack with three service aces and 26 kills for the week, averaging 1.62 kills per set.
SETTER
Meghan Parker, Angelo State University, SO, San Antonio, Texas, Johnson
Working in a 6-2 offense, Parker served up a Belles offense that hit .268 for the week against some of the nation's top teams. Totaling 141 assists for the week at a rate of 8.81 assists per set, the sophomore set a season high 43 assists against No.2 Concordia - St. Paul. This performance also included 11 digs, which marked her first double-double of the season. The setter also turned in four aces for the week in sweeps of Adams State, Florida Southern, MSU Denver, and Tarleton State.
