The Lone Star Conference Basketball Online Preseason Media Day featuring interviews with all 36 teams will take place on Tuesday, October 29 and Wednesday, October 30.

    The men’s preseason media day will be Tuesday, October 29 followed by the women’s preseason media day on Wednesday, October 30.

    The 2019-20 men’s and women’s basketball preseason polls and awards will be released on www.lonestarconference.org and social media at @lonestarconf on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. In addition, interviews with the head coaches and players from all 36 teams will be available on the conference’s YouTube page (www.youtube.com/lscmedia31), social media and the LSC website.

    With the addition of eight new members this year, the LSC will feature 18 men’s and 18 women’s teams. Each team will play a double round-robin schedule within their six-team division and play a single round-robin schedule against the conference’s remaining 12 teams. 

    With the eight new members, the LSC is now home to each of the South Central Regional finalists for the past two seasons in both men’s and women’s basketball.

    For the first time, 12 teams will make the LSC Basketball Championships making it the largest tournament field in conference history. The championships will take place March 3-5-6-7-8, 2020, with opening-round games taking place on campus followed by the quarterfinals, semifinals and championship games at the Comerica Center in Frisco, Texas. The venue seats up to 6,000 and features amenities such as a state-of-the-art sound system, three HD video screens, 12 suites and a private lounge area. It is the home practice facility and Executive Offices for the NHL Dallas Stars as well as the home of the Texas Legends Basketball Team of the NBA G League.
