Lovato posted a time of 22:34.63 at the Highlander Invitational, placing 52nd overall and first among DII competitors. Her time in the women's 6-kilometer race broke the previous school record held by WNMU Hall of Famer Nicole Luna by nearly half a second. Lovato pushed the team to a 12th place finish heading into this weekend's conference championship.
