Football: TSU, A&M-C selected for Division II Championship field

Tarleton State and Texas A&M-Commerce were chosen to represent the Lone Star Conference in the 2019 NCAA Division II Football Championship. 
 
The Texans earned the No. 2 seed in Super Region Four, while the Lions were unseeded.
 
Tarleton earned its fifth NCAA Division II playoff appearance and will host A&M-C on Saturday, Nov. 23 in Stephenville, Texas.  Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.

A&M-C received a berth to the NCAA Division II Football Playoffs for the eighth time.
 
2019 NCAA Division II Football Championship Bracket

The TSU-A&M-C winner will advance to play the No. 3 Colorado Mines and Sioux Falls winner on Nov. 20.
 
No. 4 CSU-Pueblo host Augustana in the first round with the winner moving on to play the No. 1 seed Minnesota State.
 
The championship game will be played December 21, at 2 p.m. Central time at McKinney ISD Stadium in McKinney, Texas and will be broadcast live on ESPNU HD/ESPN3.com.  The Lone Star Conference and McKinney ISD are hosting the title game.
