Accomplishments at DBU:
- 6-time All-American in track & field and cross country from 2011-2015
- Finished her collegiate career with a 4th place finish in the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championship
- Helped lead DBU to the NCAA DII Cross Country Championships in 2015
- Qualified for the NCAA DII Outdoor Track and Field Championships in the 3,000 meter steeplechase in 2013, 2014, and 2015
- Reached the NCAA DII Indoor Championships in both 2014 and 2015 in the 5,000 meter steeplechase
- Named to the Heartland Conference Hall of Fame in 2019
Statistics:
- Ran a college-best of 9:55.58 in the 3,000 meter steeplechase, and 16:59.50 in the 5,000 meter steeplechase
- Ran 6K in college top time of 20:11.9 to finish 4th at 2015 NCAA DII Cross Country Championship
Where they are now: Bruce currently serves as the Women's Recruiting Coordinator and Assistant Coach for the DBU Cross Country and Track and Field teams. She ran in the USA Olympic Trial Marathon in February (ranked #22 in the nation going into that race) and represented Team USA in the IAAF World Championships in Doha, Qarar, last September. Bruce has finished in the top-10 in the USA in the half marathon, the 20k, and the 25k.
