Texas A&M University-Commerce’s Britney Jordan and Eastern New Mexico University’s Michael Walton are the 2020 inductees to the Lone Star Conference Hall of Honor, league officials announced on Tuesday.
Jordan and Walton form the 2020 class for the LSC Hall of Honor, which recognizes outstanding individuals who have brought pride and honor to the conference through their contributions as an athlete or who have demonstrated a long-term commitment to the betterment of the conference as a coach or administrator.
Jordan, who is the 13th Lion to be enshrined, and Walton, the third Greyhound inducted, were selected by a panel of athletic administrators throughout the league.
“Michael Walton and Britney Jordan were outstanding student-athletes that brought tremendous pride and honor to the LSC and their institutions during their playing days," said LSC Commissioner Jay Poerner. “Michael as a standout defensive lineman and Britney as one of the most prolific scorers in league history. They are most deserving of this distinction.”
Each of the inductees will receive the LSC’s signature Hall of Honor award, a 15-inch custom-sculpted eagle figurine mounted on a cherry wood base. The awards for Jordan and Walton are to be presented this fall.
