- In lone season, posted .403 batting average in 57 games with 77 hits, 19 doubles, two triples, 12 home runs and 62 RBIs
- Earned first team All-Conference honors
- UTPB went 38-21 falling in the conference championship game

Where they are now: Gattis went on to have a successful MLB career winning a World Series Championship in 2017 with the Houston Astros. He was drafted in the 23rd round of the MLB draft by the Atlanta Braves and made his debut in 2013. After two years as a Brave, Gattis was traded to the Astros where he spent the next four seasons. An imposing figure at the plate, he slugged 139 home runs in his career. In the 2017 World Series, Gattis hit .300 and added five walks as his Astros won the World Series in seven games. Gattis was invited back to throw out the ceremonial first pitch in game one of the 2019 World Series.
