Angelo State and UT Tyler top the Lone Star Conference standings with perfect league records. UTT is the lone unbeaten team in NCAA Division II at 12-0 overall.
LSC volleyball teams are 130-139 overall this season. The squads are currently 13-17 combined against Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference teams, the other league in the NCAA Division II South Central Region.

Torrey Miller, West Texas A&M, SO, Biology, OH, Brownwood, Texas, Brownwood HS
Miller led the Lady Buffs to their sixth consecutive win with a pair of victories in week six of LSC action. The sophomore registered a career-high 28 kills in WT's five set thriller against St. Mary's leading the Lady Buffs to a 3-2 victory. The 28 kills match the most in the LSC this year. In the win over St. Edwards, Miller added 14 kills and 22 digs for her 10th double-double this season. She recorded 4.67 kills per set with two services aces, four block assists and a team high 46.0 points on the weekend including 38 digs. Miller now ranks second in the conference with 200 total kills and 4.0 per set.
DEFENSIVE
Chloe Patton, Angelo State, SR, Biology, Libero, Gillett, Texas, La Vernia HS
Patton was key to the Belles win over Lubbock Christian last week. Against the Lady Chaps, she recorded a game-high 17 digs as the Belles handed the visitors their first conference loss of the season. The Belles held Lubbock Christian to 27 kills and a .078 attack percentage, both season lows for the Lady Chaps.

Woolley averaged a career-best 7.33 sets per set for the Belles in their win over Lubbock Christian, assisting 22 times as the Belles hit .296 as a team and handed the Lady Chaps their first LSC loss.

SELECTED NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
Alissa Tolbert, St. Mary’s, recorded a career-high 28 kills, tying for the highest output in the Lone Star Conference this season, and added 24 digs in an almost improbable comeback before falling to West Texas A&M. The Rattlers trailed 11-1 in the fifth set and Tolbert tallied seven kills to bring StMU within two, 12-10. In the sweep over ENMU on Saturday, Tolbert led all players with 12 kills and hit .476 (12-2-21) in helping StMU break the school's single match hitting percentage record as they hit .467 as a team. The 20-kill, 20-dig performance is Tolbert's second of the season and the third of her career.
Delaney Fuller, Angelo State, impressed as the Belles swept Lubbock Christian to give the Lady Chaps their first LSC loss. She recorded her second double-double of the season with 13 kills and a .400 hitting percentage, as well as 10 digs. She is currently second on the team in both kills and digs this season.
Jackie Alanis, Texas A&M-Kingsville, hit .306 as the Javelinas topped Texas Woman's and DBU as no one on the Javelina roster had more kills than the 26 posted by her. Alanis logged 10 smashes on Friday as the Javelinas swept the Pioneers, then she put together an even better performance on Saturday. Against the Patriots, Alanis fired off 16 kills, hit .343 and added nine digs in a four-set triumph. For the week, Alanis averaged 3.71 kills per set and moved up to fourth in the LSC in that statistic with a mark of 3.70 for the season.
Evelyn Torres, UT Tyler, totaled 22 kills, averaging 3.14 per set, as UT Tyler remained as the lone undefeated team in all of Division II with wins over Cameron and Midwestern State over the weekend. Torres hit .220 for the two matches, totaling nine kills in Friday night's 3-0 win and 13 kills in the 3-1 win over Midwestern State on Saturday.
Essence Allen, Texas A&M-Commerce, recorded 13 kills in two wins for the Lions this past weekend. She had a double-double with 13 kills and 15 digs in Friday’s 3-1 win over Midwestern State and picked up nine kills in a 3-0 win over Cameron, she also had a double-double (10 kills and 17 digs) in loss at East Central. She averaged 2.91 kills per set in three matches with a .220 hitting percentage this past weekend. On the season, she is averaging 2.52 kills per set and 2.75 digs per set.
Hannah Rouse, Oklahoma Christian, recorded a career-high 18 kills – including three in the decisive fifth set – and seven digs to lead OC to a 3-2 win over Western New Mexico on Saturday, which ended the Eagles’ five-match losing streak. That followed a nine-kill, eight-dig effort in a four-set loss on Friday to Texas-Permian Basin. She also had eight aces and seven block assists during the week, which included a five-set loss to Northwestern Oklahoma State on Tuesday.
Lyric Hebert, Texas A&M-Commerce, racked up 65 digs in 11 sets played this weekend by the Lions in two wins and a loss. She had 20 digs in the 3-0 win over Cameron and 24 digs against Midwestern State. She also served up three aces. This season, Hebert is averaging 4.58 digs per set, which is seventh in the LSC and her average of 0.32 aces per set is 15th.
Nicole Murff, Texas A&M-Kingsville, put together another excellent week at the libero spot to help the Javelinas capture two more conference victories. On Friday, she picked up 17 digs to help the Javs hold Texas Woman's to a .074 hitting percentage in a three-set TAMUK triumph. One day later, Murff finished with 22 scoops to lead a defense that limited DBU to a .090 kill rate as the Javelinas cruised to a win in four. Murff's 39 total digs gave her an average of 5.57 digs per set and TAMUK's two opponents posted a combined .083 hitting percentage against the Javelina defense. Murff's mark of 5.98 digs per set for the season puts her ninth in the nation.
Brylie Berryman, Oklahoma Christian, led with 20 digs and added five assists as the Eagles held off a Western New Mexico rally to prevail in five sets. She helped limit the Mustangs to just a .115 hitting percentage. She averaged more than five digs a set during OC’s three-match week, which also included a five-set loss to Northwestern Oklahoma State (27 total) and a four-set loss to Texas-Permian Basin (24 total).
Kayla Elliott, West Texas A&M, was dominate at the net for the Lady Buffs defense that limited opponents to hit .145. The Wildomar, California product registered a career-high seven blocks in WT's five set victory over St. Mary's before recording a career-high 17 kills against St. Edward's. With her seven blocks against the Rattlers, she show leads the team with 41 total kills and ranks eighth with .89 blocks per set.
Maiya Peña, UT Tyler, had a total of 12 blocks to help UT Tyler to 3-0 and 3-1 wins over Cameron and Midwestern State to remain as the lone undefeated team in Division II volleyball this weekend. Peña had eight block assists in the win against Cameron and four in the win against Midwestern State. She totaled 24.0 points on the weekend, hitting .484 between the two matches with a total of 17 kills on 31 swings. The Houston, Texas native averaged 2.43 kills and 1.71 blocks per set for the weekend.
Julia Deais, St. Mary’s, recorded a career-high nine blocks in the five-set thriller against West Texas, which is tied for the second-highest total in the Lone Star this season. She had two solo stops and seven assists. In the win over ENMU, she was the only player in the match with more than one block, recording three assists. She also had three aces in the win over the Greyhounds.
Emily Witt, Texas A&M-Kingsville, was one of the catalysts for a Javelina offense that hit .238 during a weekend in which TAMUK logged pair of conference wins. In a Friday sweep of Texas Woman's, Witt passed out 29 assists, a season-high for her in a three-set match, while also adding six digs and three kills and helping the Javelinas hit .286. On Saturday against DBU, Witt reset her overall season-high with 45 helpers and she matched her career-high with five total blocks, leading the Javelinas to a victory in four frames. Witt averaged 10.57 assists per set for the week, finishing with 74 total helpers in seven sets.
Chloe Alderson, UAFS, earned her first career start Tuesday at Oklahoma Baptist, recording a double-double by dishing out 45 assists and recording 10 digs in the four-set defeat. In wins over Western New Mexico and UT Permian Basin over the weekend, she tallied 27 and 39 assists, respectively. She helped UAFS hit .306 and .421 in the final two sets of the comeback win over UTPB.
Celeste Vela, Texas A&M-Commerce, with 105 assists this past week, took the Lone Star Conference lead for most assists (500) and her assists per set average of 10.0 is also the best in the LSC. She had 37 assists and eight digs in the win over Midwestern State, 32 in win over Cameron and 36 against East Central.
Cali Nims, St. Mary’s, helped break the school record for single match hitting percentage, recording 24 assists in the three-set win over ENMU where the Rattlers hit .467. The true freshman also collected 33 assists against West Texas A&M. In the fifth set as the Rattlers mounted a comeback after trailing 11-1, Nims served three aces in a four-point stretch to help them close within two, 12-10. She also recorded the second double-double of her young career with 12 digs against the Buffs as the Rattlers topped the century dig mark for the second-straight match (102).
