Three Lone Star Conference Men's Basketball teams completed undefeated weeks, as No. 5 West Texas A&M, DBU and St. Edward's went unbeaten. No. 1 Lubbock Christian, Texas A&M- Commerce and UT Tyler remain perfect this season.
LSC men’s basketball teams are 81-36 overall and 20-12 against the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, the other conference in the South Central Region.

OFFENSIVE
Larry Wise, West Texas A&M, SO, Health Sciences, G, Waxahachie, Texas, Waxahachie HS
Wise led the No. 5 Buffs to a pair of victories over Eastern New Mexico and Western New Mexico, averaging 18.5 points per game. Wise propelled WT's offense with 19 points in the 73-70 win over WNMU, scoring his final points with 21 seconds left on what proved to be the game-winning layup. The Waxahachie native shot 52 percent from the floor, dished out seven assists and totaled three steals and 11 rebounds during the week.

Kavon Booker, West Texas A&M, SO, Sports and Exercise Science, G, Schertz, Texas, Clemens HS
Booker led a Buffs defense that limited opponents to 66.5 points per game and 43.1 percent shooting from the floor with a pair of victories over Eastern New Mexico and Western New Mexico. He registered his first career double-double in WT's 73-70 victory over the Mustangs with 14 points and 10 rebounds while recording two blocks and a steal at ENMU. The junior was the fourth-leading scorer for the Buffs after averaging 13 points a game.

SELECTED NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
Carson Hughes, DBU, led the Patriots to a 2-0 week on the road. The senior guard combined for 35 points on 63 percent shooting with a perfect 11-of-11 performance at the free-throw line in wins over UAFS and Oklahoma Christian. On Thursday, Hughes notched 11 points and five rebounds to help the Patriots fend off the Lions, 68-67. The Keller native then put together his best game of the year in DBU's 86-72 win over OC. Hughes scored a season-high 24 points on 8-of-12 shooting for a Patriots offense that finished 60 percent from the floor. The fourth-year guard added three rebounds, four assists, and a career-high eight made free throws in DBU's highest offensive output of the season.
Greg Bowie II, Texas A&M International, continued his hot start to his TAMIU career this past week. In Thursday's last-second defeat to No. 12 Angelo State, he scored 20 points on 7-of-12 shooting and added eight rebounds, an assist and a steal to his line. Bowie II followed that performance with 17 points on 7-of-12 shooting again, in a 59-58 win over UT Permian Basin. He also had two rebounds, two assists and a steal in the victory.
Caleb Jordan, St. Mary’s, became the first Rattler since 2013 to score 1,000 points in a career and added his first career double-double with 16 points and 10 assists in the team's home opener against Huston-Tillotson. Jordan also added 17 points at Division I UTSA, leading the Rattlers in scoring. For the week, he shot 46.4 percent from the field and made all three of his free throw attempts. He also added six rebounds against the Rams in the home opener and had a 4.0 assist-to-turnover ratio for the week.
C.J. Smith, Texas A&M-Kingsville, scored more points than any other Javelina during a week that included an overtime upset win over undefeated and 12th-ranked Angelo State. Smith's week began with a 16-point, four-assist performance against the UT Permian Basin Falcons. Two days later, he again led the Hogs in scoring and assists, totaling 14 points with four helpers. The last two came on TAMUK's final two baskets of the night in their 77-75 win over ASU. For the week, Smith averaged 15.0 points per game and handed out a total of eight assists.
Bennett Mohn, St. Edward's, was nearly unstoppable in a big win over Arlington Baptist, posting 21 points in 27 minutes while shooting 50 percent from three-point range and 61.5 percent from the field. Mohn added six assists in the victory, along with two rebounds, a block and a steal.
Dajuan Jones, UT Permian Basin, has facilitated the Falcon offense all season and currently leads the LSC in assists by 13. Last week the senior had 19 points, six assists, four rebounds, and three steals as the Falcons ended Texas A&M-Kingsville's 16-game home winning streak. He followed that with an 11-point, 7-assist performance at Texas A&M International. He is currently third on the team in points per game and is fourth in the LSC in free throw percentage.
Emmanuel Ewuzie, St. Mary's, blocked two shots and had a career-high four steals against Division I UTSA. He narrowly missed the first double-double of his career with 10 points and nine rebounds against the Roadrunners. In the team's home opener over Huston-Tillotson, he scored seven and grabbed six rebounds in just 17 minutes of action. He also had his first two assists of the year against the Rams and was 3-for-4 from the floor.
Austin Garner, DBU, led a Patriot defense that earned back-to-back road wins over UAFS and Oklahoma Christian last week. Garner totaled 11 defensive rebounds, two blocks, and a pair of steals in a 2-0 week for the Patriots.
Dayante McClellan, Texas A&M-Kingsville, put together an impressive week, both offensively and defensively, while helping the Javelinas upset No. 12 Angelo State on Saturday. In TAMUK's first game, he had eight points and six rebounds against UT Permian Basin on Thursday. Two days later, McClellan scooped up seven more rebounds, handed out three assists and tallied 13 points, including the game-winning bucket in the final moments as the Javs vanquished the Rams in overtime, 77-75. McClellan finished the week with an average of 10.5 points per game and 6.5 rebounds per game while shooting 63.6 percent from the floor.
Drew Tennial, Oklahoma Christian, was a force on both ends of the court in a wire-to-wire win over Midwestern State, scoring 15 points to go with six rebounds, a career-high four blocked shots, four assists and two steals. He also scored in double digits in an 86-72 loss to Dallas Baptist, finishing with 10 points. He leads the Eagles in scoring this season at 12.9 points per game.
