Angelo State, Central Washington, Texas A&M-Kingsville, West Texas A&M, and Western New Mexico recorded Lone Star Conference wins last week.
This week’s schedule includes five LSC games.
LSC football teams are 26-21 overall this season. The squads are 7-1 combined versus the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and Northern Sun Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, which are also in Super Regional Four.

LSC TO HOST 2022 DIVISION II FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME
The NCAA Division II Football Committee selected McKinney Independent School District Stadium in McKinney, Texas, as the host site of the 2022-25 Division II football national championship games.
McKinney ISD Stadium and Community Event Center, a 12,000-seat facility built primarily for football, will host the Division II Football Championship games on December 17, 2022; December 16, 2023; December 21, 2024; and December 20, 2025.
The Lone Star Conference in conjunction with McKinney ISD hosted the 2018, 2019, and 2021 championship games.

OFFENSIVE
Tre'Jon Henderson, Central Washington, SO, Communications, RB, Fort Worth, Texas, Byron Nelson HS
Henderson posted a 152-yard, three touchdown performance in the 45-17 road win at Eastern New Mexico. He led the league in rushing yards and scoring this weekend. Henderson created some big plays early to establish CWU's offense, including a 40-yard run setting up the offense at the five-yard line in the first quarter, and a 33-yard TD at the start of the second.
DEFENSIVE
Kaleb Gutierrez, Western New Mexico, SR, Physical Education, LB, El Paso, Texas, Franklin HS
Gutierrez continues to be a force for WNMU collecting nine tackles in the 30-27 overtime win against Midwestern State. The senior had six solo tackles including one tackle for a loss. Gutierrez helped stop MSU on the one-yard line in the third quarter which was one of three stops by downs. He now ranks 13th in the LSC for tackles.

Gage Urias, West Texas A&M, SR, Art, K, Lubbock, Texas, Coronado HS
Urias proved to be the hero on Saturday night during Homecoming at Bain-Schaeffer Buffalo Stadium as the Buffs picked up a thrilling 28-27 victory over UT Permian Basin. The Lubbock, Texas native connected from 33, 49, 20, 45 and 32 to set a new school single-game record with five made field goals, which ties for the most in NCAA Division II this year. Urias’ 32-yard make with just four seconds remaining gave the Buffs the win. His 49-yarder in the first quarter was also the longest of his career in Maroon and White. Urias was responsible for 16 points and also handled the kickoff duties with three touchbacks on eight attempts.
