Seven Lone Star Conference women’s basketball teams were unbeaten during week 12 as No. 10 Texas A&M-Commerce, No. 15 Lubbock Christian, Angelo State, Cameron, Texas A&M International, Texas A&M-Kingsville and West Texas A&M all went without a loss. LCU's week was highlighted by the team's 100th consecutive home win which surpassed UConn's 99-game streak as the longest in Division I and Division II women's basketball history. CU kept their place at the top of the league standings at 7-1 followed by TAMUK at 8-2 and TAMUC, TWU and WT tied for third at 7-2.
LSC women's basketball teams are 176-161 overall and 22-13 against the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, the other conference in the South Central Region.

2022 LSC BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP
The LSC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships are set for March 1-3-4-5-6, 2022, with the first round games on-campus on Tuesday, March 1. The final eight teams will advance to the Comerica Center in Frisco, Texas, for the quarterfinal, semifinal and championship rounds March 3-6. The top 12 men’s and women’s teams will qualify and be seeded based on the league standings following a single-round robin conference schedule (16 games).

Brown was stellar on the offensive end for the Dustdevils as they went 2-0 on the week. In Thursday's 76-64 win over St. Mary's, Brown finished the game with 25 points on 10-for-18 shooting, alongside seven rebounds, four assists and three steals. She followed that performance in Saturday's 63-41 win over St. Edward's with 14 points on 7-for-9 shooting, helping TAMIU finish at 56.3 percent from the floor. She also had four rebounds, one block and three more steals.

LCU had a milestone week, surpassing 100 consecutive home wins, the longest streak in Division I and Division II history, with wins over Oklahoma Christian, Midwestern State and Texas Woman's and a big contributor on the defensive side was Juliana Robertson, who averaged 9.7 rebounds, two steals and 3.0 assists on the week. Robertson had seven rebounds to go along with a 10-point performance against Oklahoma Christian, and then followed with 12 rebounds against MSU and 10 rebounds versus TWU. She posted a career-high five steals against TWU. On the helping hand, Robertson led LCU in assists for the week, leading off the week four assists against OC.

SELECTED NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
Ashley Ingram, Texas Woman’s, continues to be an unstoppable offensive threat for the Pioneers. In three games this week, she averaged 17 points and seven rebounds. As a forward, she also shot 66.7 percent from the 3-point line on three attempts. Ingram was also a force on the defensive end with three blocks and three steals in the Pioneers 2-1 week.
Sydney Hardeman, St. Mary’s, shattered the St. Mary's single-game three-point record, sinking nine triples en route to a career-high 31 points at Texas A&M International - and eight of them came in the second half. The junior entered the week shooting .328 from the field and shot at a .476 clip over the three games, with 15 of her 20 field goals coming from downtown. Hardeman also averaged well above her season rebounds, averaging 5.3, compared to the 3.6 she entered with.
Ashton Duncan, Lubbock Christian, helped LCU to a 3-0 week (home wins over Oklahoma Christian, Midwestern State and Texas Woman's) with a pace of 14.7 points a contest. She hit 10 three-pointers on the week (on 22 attempts), with four against OC and TWU. LCU celebrated surpassing 100 consecutive home wins on the week, and Duncan was a big part of the week's milestones, as she had five points during a 12-2 run in the second quarter against MSU, which helped LCU overcome a deficit. She followed with 18 points to lead LCU to a win over TWU, who entered the game co-leading the conference standings. Duncan's 10 three-pointers matched her with Jordan Hampton (248, 2005-09) for second on LCU's all-time three-pointers list (with 248). She also moved into second in career three-point attempts in program history with 647.
Frances King, Midwestern State, helped Midwestern State in both weekend games, averaging 18 points. Against No. 15 Lubbock Christian, the sophomore recorded 15 points, on 6-of-10 shooting from the field. She also drained three three-pointers out of five attempts. King added three rebounds and three assists in MSU's ten-point fall. The guard led the Mustangs with 21 points in the victory at Eastern New Mexico. She shot 50 percent from the field and 75 percent from the free-throw line. King controlled nine rebounds and three steals in the match. The Rockdale, Texas, native continues to lead the league in assists, adding eight against the Greyhounds.
Asiyha Smith, Texas A&M-Commerce, led all scorers for the Lions in their win on Saturday at Oklahoma Christian. She totaled 16 points, four rebounds, two assists, two steals, and a block. Smith shot 11 for 12 from the free throw line helping the Lions beat the Eagles, 69-58.
Karley Motschenbacher, West Texas A&M, continued to lead the way offensively for the Lady Buffs this past week as WT went 2-0 with wins against St. Edward's and Angelo State to move to 14-9 overall and 7-2 in Lone Star Conference action. The Moorhead, Minnesota product went 10-of-21 (47.6 percent) from the floor including 9-of-10 (90 percent) from the free throw line to average 15.0 points per game to go along with 14 rebounds, three assists and three steals. Saturday afternoon saw the freshman guard go 5-of-12 from the floor and 7-of-8 from the line for a game-high 18 points in a 62-47 win over ASU.
Brooklin Bain, Oklahoma Christian, played three teams ranked in the top five in the South Central Region – Lubbock Christian, UT Tyler and Texas A&M-Commerce – during the week and Bain was a rebound shy of averaging a double-double against that elite competition, posting averages of 14.7 points and 9.7 rebounds. She had 17 points and 10 rebounds in the 75-51 loss at defending NCAA Division II national champion Lubbock Christian and 13 points and 12 rebounds in the 72-67 loss to Texas-Tyler. Bain finished with 14 points and seven rebounds in a 69-58 loss to TAMUC, a game that was tied entering the fourth quarter.
Liah Davis, UT Tyler, had a monster game on her way to collecting her fifth double-double of the season last Thursday against Oklahoma Christian. Davis had 14 points bolstered by a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line. She also tied her season high in rebounds with 17 and chipped in four assists and a block as she led the Patriots to victory.
Mia Cherry, Texas A&M-Kingsville, led the Javelinas in scoring in back-to-back contests shooting efficiently in wins over St. Edwards and St. Mary's this week. She went 4-5 from the field in just 13 minutes of action on Thursday night, finishing with 13 points and an assist in a 75-55 victory over the Hilltoppers. On Saturday, Cherry logged 15 points, four rebounds, and three steals, helping the Javs to a 66-51 win. Overall she averaged 14 ppg in the pair of victories, maintaining a 60 percent shooting clip while going 6-11 from beyond the arc.
Tayjanna McGhee-Pleasant, Angelo State, played an important role as the Rambelles went 2-1 this past week. Against UTPB, she recorded her first double-double of the season with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Against WNMU, she notched an 11-point, 13-rebound double-double as the Rambelles picked up their first road win of the season. Against West Texas A&M, she added 12 points and nine rebounds in 31 minutes of action.\
Clara Fernandez, Texas A&M International, had an outstanding all-around week for the Dustdevils, helping them go 2-0. In Thursday's 76-64 win over St. Mary's, Fernandez came just one steal shy of a triple-double, as she scored 14 points with 10 rebounds (four offensive, six defensive), four assists and nine steals (two shy of the program record). In Saturday's 63-41 win over St. Edward's, Fernandez scored a game-high 21 points on 9-for-12 shooting, secured five rebounds and added another six steals. She helped lead the TAMIU defensive to limit the opposition to a combined 52.5 points and .367 percent shooting.
Devon Williams, Texas A&M-Kingsville, helped the Javelinas to a pair of wins over the week pulling down 17 total rebounds while averaging 11.0 ppg. In a Thursday night contest against St. Edwards, Williams scored nine, shooting 57.1 percent from the field, pulling down eight boards and a block. Saturday, the freshman finished one rebound short of a double-double as she collected nine, including five offensively, while dropping 13 points in a 66-51 victory over St. Mary's, allowing TAMUK to improve their LSC record to 8-2 while winning their 11th straight home contest.
Juliana Louis, Texas A&M-Commerce, grabbed season-best 14 rebounds in the win at Oklahoma Christian, including 10 defensive rebounds. She and Lions held the Eagles to 19 points in the second half with the final score being 69-58. She also recorded eight points, two steals, and two assists. The Lions held the Eagles to shoot 33.9 percent.
Keslyn King, Texas Woman’s, defended all over the court as the shooting guard helped the Pioneers go 2-1 during the week. King limited the scoring of the opposing teams, while also making an impact on the offensive end for the Pioneers. She averaged 11.7 points this week, scoring a season-high 15 against Lubbock Christian.
