LSC Baseball Championship Central
The 2022 Lone Star Conference Baseball Championship bracket is set following the conclusion of the regular season on Sunday afternoon as eight teams punched their tickets to the postseason tournament.
The championship will be a two-week tournament featuring the top eight teams based on the conference standings. The first week includes four best-of-three series, May 6-7-8, hosted on-campus by the higher seed in each matchup. The winner of each opening round series will advance to a double-elimination tournament on May 12-13-14 at the highest remaining seed.
Angelo State won the LSC championship and earned the No. 1 seed in the tournament as they look to defend their 2021 postseason title. The Rams completed the season 38-10 in the league to claim their sixth regular-season championship. West Texas A&M secured the No. 2 seed, followed by No. 3 Lubbock Christian and No. 4 Texas A&M-Kingsville. All four teams will host opening round series.
UT Tyler captured the No. 5 seed, while No. 6 St. Edward’s, No. 7 Oklahoma Christian and No. 8 St. Mary's round out the tournament field.
The second-week double-elimination tournament will begin with two games on Thursday, May 12, followed by a triple-header on Friday, May 13. The championship will conclude on Saturday, May 14.

The winner of the tournament will be named the Lone Star Conference Baseball Tournament Champion and earn the league's automatic qualification to the 2022 NCAA Division II South Central Regional on May 19-21. The Division II baseball selection show is Sunday, May 15 at 9 p.m. CT.
