Central Washington and Midwestern State began Lone Star Conference action with victories. LSC teams went 5-0 in non-conference play last week with Angelo State, UT Permian Basin, and West Texas A&M earning in-region wins.
This week’s schedule includes three LSC games and three non-conference contests.
LSC football teams are 12-6 overall this season. The squads are 7-1 combined versus the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and Northern Sun Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, which are also in Super Regional Four.

LSC TO HOST 2022 DIVISION II FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME
The NCAA Division II Football Committee selected McKinney Independent School District Stadium in McKinney, Texas, as the host site of the 2022-25 Division II football national championship games.
McKinney ISD Stadium and Community Event Center, a 12,000-seat facility built primarily for football, will host the Division II Football Championship games on December 17, 2022; December 16, 2023; December 21, 2024; and December 20, 2025.
The Lone Star Conference in conjunction with McKinney ISD hosted the 2018, 2019, and 2021 championship games.

OFFENSIVE
Tre'Jon Henderson, Central Washington, SO, Communications, RB, Fort Worth, Byron Nelson HS
Henderson scored all three of the Wildcats' touchdowns in the 24-13 win at home versus Western New Mexico. The sophomore registered 154 rushing yards on 26 attempts, an average of 5.9 yards. Henderson scored just before halftime to tie the game at 10-10 and then added two more scores in the second half. He added 37 receiving yards for 191 all-purpose yards.
DEFENSIVE
Dylon Davis, Midwestern State, JR, Criminal Justice, CB, Abilene, Texas, Cooper HS
Davis stepped in front of a crossing route and raced 43 yards for the go-ahead interception return for a touchdown early in the fourth quarter in Midwestern State's 28-14 win Saturday at Eastern New Mexico. It was the junior from Abilene's fourth career return of an interception for a touchdown and spun the momentum for the Mustangs. Davis finished the game with five tackles including four solo stops.
SPECIAL TEAMS
Asa Fuller, Angelo State, SR, Business Administration, K, Fountain Valley, Calif., Servite HS
Fuller was perfect on the day in ASU's 30-27 overtime win over No. 12 Colorado Mines. Fuller converted three PATs while making three total field goals, including the game-winner in overtime, a 36-yard effort to down Mines on the road.
