Angelo State, Texas A&M-Kingsville, Texas Woman's, UAFS, and UT Tyler each went 2-0 in Lone Star Conference contests last week. TWU remains unbeaten in conference (12-0) and divisional play (6-0).
LSC games continue this week with each team playing a double round-robin schedule within their eight-team division. Additionally, teams will play eight crossover competitions against teams from the opposite division for a total of 22 conference games.
The LSC Women’s Basketball Championship will feature an eight-team field in 2023 with seeding based on the 22 conference games. The divisional winners will receive the top two seeds in the tournament. The championships are set to take place March 2-3-4-5, 2023, at the Comerica Center in Frisco, Texas.
LSC women’s basketball teams are 159-139 overall and 22-16 against the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, the other league in the South Central Region.

Ingram averaged 17 points and 10 rebounds to help lead the Pioneers to two wins this past week to remain undefeated in the Lone Star Conference, including a win over nationally ranked West Texas A&M. Versus WT, Ingram had 14 points and 12 rebounds. Against Lubbock Christian, Ingram scored 20 points - her sixth game with 20 or more points this season – and shot 80.0% with eight boards. She also recorded a career-high six blocks over the week, giving her 46 total career blocks, which moves her into a tie for No. 10 on the TWU All-Time Block List.
DEFENSIVE
Lovisa Hevinder, UT Tyler, SO, Management, Guard, Stockholm, Sweden, Lulea Basketgymnasium
Hevinder played a gigantic role in the Patriots huge wins over Lubbock Christian and No. 17 West Texas A&M. Hevinder posted nine rebounds and three steals against the Lady Chaps while going a perfect 10-10 from the free throw line to help secure the win for UT Tyler. The Patriots forced LCU into a season high 25 turnovers and held them to their fourth lowest scoring total of the year. Against WT, Hevinder dropped in 21 points and 10 rebounds for her fourth double-double of the year. Hevinder and the Patriots held the Lady Buffs to just 31.1% from the field and 14.7% from deep, the second lowest percentages of the year for WT.
