Volleyball Championship Central
The eight-team bracket for the 2023 Lone Star Conference Volleyball Championship is set following completion of the conference season. The 42nd edition of the LSC tournament is scheduled Thursday through Saturday (November 16-18) and hosted by No. 1 seed Dallas Baptist University in Dallas, Texas.
DBU and West Texas A&M tied for the regular-season title with the Lady Patriots earning the No. 1 seed by virtue of their win over the Lady Buffs during the league season. The top seed also hosts the LSC tournament.
Tournament play begins with four quarterfinal matches on Thursday. No. 3 Angelo State faces No. 6 UT Tyler at 12 p.m. followed by No. 2 West Texas A&M versus No. 7 Texas Woman’s at 2:30 p.m. No. 1 DBU faces No. 8 Texas A&M International in the 5 p.m. match while No. 4 UAFS meets No. 5 Texas A&M-Kingsville in the 7:30 p.m. match.
The quarterfinal match winners advance to Friday evening semifinal matches. The LSC Championship match is scheduled Saturday afternoon. The tournament winner earns the LSC automatic qualifying berth to the Division II Volleyball Championship.

DBU (22-6, 14-2 LSC) is making its fifth consecutive appearance in the LSC Tournament and enter the postseason on a nine-match win streak. The Lady Patriots were runner-up a year ago for their best finish in the LSC postseason.
