LSC Baseball All-Defensive Team released

The Lone Star Conference All-Defensive Team was announced on Wednesday by league officials at the championship reception.

The awards, which have been presented for six years, are determined by a vote of LSC baseball head coaches based on defensive performance alone for all nine positions.

Angelo State led the way with six selections, including junior pitcher Aaron Munson, senior catcher Tyler Boggs, senior first baseman Jordan Williams, third baseman Kamden Kelton, shortstop Justin Harris and outfielder Thomas Cain. Other winners were Lubbock Christian senior second baseman Caden Hensley, St. Edward’s junior outfielder David Drewel, St. Mary’s senior outfielder Ryan McGowen and UT Permian Basin junior outfielder Ethan Flodstrom.

Williams, who did not make an error in 251 chances, becomes the first player to be on the team for four seasons. Boggs and McGowen made it for the second consecutive year.
