UT Tyler and Texas Woman's sit atop the overall conference standings tied at 12-1 with UTT leading in East Division games (7-0). Lubbock Christian remains perfect in West Division play (6-0) with UT Permian Basin right behind with a single division loss (5-1). ... The LSC schedule has three straight weekends of games vs. division opponents ahead of a final week of East vs. West contests (Feb. 22/24). The regular season wraps up with travel partner games (Feb. 27-March 2).

LSC Tournament: Eight teams advance to the 2024 LSC Women's Basketball Tournament scheduled March 8-10 at Comerica Center in Frisco, Texas. The tournament bracket will be announced March 2 following conclusion of the LSC season. To the tournament winner goes the league’s automatic berth in the NCAA Division II Women’s Basketball Championship.

Baylee Fincher, UAFS, G, Jr., General Studies, Ponca City, Okla. (Ponca City HS)
Guard Baylee Fincher averaged 24.5 points shooting .565 from the floor and .933 at the line in leading UAFS in wins against Midwestern State and Cameron. Fincher scored a season-high 29 points on 7-of-10 shooting, including 4-for-6 from long range, and was a perfect 11-for-11 at the line as the Lions scored a season-high 96 points vs. MSU. The junior tallied 20 points and made five threes against Cameron as UAFS tied the program record with 15 three-pointers. Fincher added 7 assists and 3 steals for the week.
DEFENSIVE
Alexus Quaadman, UT Permian Basin, F, Gr., MBA, Las Vegas, Nev. (Spring Valley HS)
Forward Alexus Quaadman controlled the boards in helping UT Permian Basin to wins over St. Edward's and St. Mary's. The graduate student finished the week with 27 rebounds, 19 on the defensive end, and blocked five shots as the Falcons held the teams to a combined .336 shooting percentage. Quaadman finished with nine rebounds vs. SEU and came back with 18 rebounds and 12 points against St. Mary's for her eighth double-double of the season.
