(Agona Swedru, Central, Ghana) was selected as the 2024 LSC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Year, the second time he has been named the award recipient (2023, '24). This season, the senior won his second NCAA Division II men's cross country individual title (29:40.9/10k) becoming the first repeat national champion since 2014. Amponsah was the LSC individual winner (23:16.28/8k) and runner-up at the Division II South Central Regional (31:17.0/10k). The All-American is the recipient of the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Doug Watts Award as the 2024 Division II Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Year.
The 2024 LSC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Year award was claimed by Lafare
(Uzes, France). The junior earned All-America honors with a 17th place finish at the NCAA Division II Championships (21:03.1) as she led West Texas A&M to a program-best runner-up national team championship finish. Lafare nabbed All-LSC honors placing sixth at the Conference championship (21:13.9/6k), helping West Texas A&M to its second straight and fourth overall LSC women's title. She placed 31st at the South Central Regional (23:05.2/6k) and 22nd at the prestigious Louisville Classic 5k Gold in October (17:28.6).
The 2024 season is the fourth straight year West Texas A&M has swept the LSC Cross Country Runner of the Year awards.

It is the third consecutive conference coaching awards for Daniel who led both WT teams to their respective conference championships in 2024. The Lady Buffs posted an all-time best second-place finish at the NCAA Division II Championship after placing fifth at the South Central Regional. On the men's side, WT finished fourth at the NCAA Division II Championships following a third-place finish at the Division II South Central Region championships.
