The Final Week: The last week of conference play not only determines the eight qualifying teams for the Lone Star Conference Tournament, but also decides three champions -- East Division, West Division, and LSC regular season. Games are scattered Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (Feb. 27-March 2). The 2024 LSC Tournament bracket will be announced by the Conference Office following conclusion of all league games on Saturday (March 2).
- In the East, Texas Woman's and UT Tyler are tied at 12-1. The two will meet in Tyler on Thursday with the winner claiming the East Division title.
- Over in the West, UT Permian Basin and Lubbock Christian each carry a 10-2 record and two games remaining. UTPB plays Angelo State at home Wednesday and in San Angelo on Saturday while LCU hosts West Texas A&M Thursday before a trip to Canyon Saturday. If the duo finish tied in the division, tiebreakers will determine the West Champion.
- The LSC season champion is based on overall conference records and TWU and UT Tyler start the week in the mix for the title. If the pair finish tied in the overall LSC standings, tiebreakers will determine the season champion and top seed in the tournament field.

PLAYERS OF THE WEEK: Games February 19-25
OFFENSIVE
Raiana Brown, Texas A&M International, F, Sr., Multidisciplinary Studies, Wheatley Heights, N.Y. (North Babylon HS)
Efficient play and consistency from senior Raiana Brown led Texas A&M International to road wins vs. Cameron (72-60) and Midwestern State (76-68) to keep the Dustdevils among the top four teams in the overall conference standings. The forward opened scoring 20 points with seven rebounds and five assists against CU, then came back to record a double-double – 24 points and 10 rebounds -- plus four assists vs. MSU. In the two games, Brown shot a combined .677 from the field (21 for 31), including a 12-for-16 (.750) vs. Midwestern State.
DEFENSIVE
Taylor Haggan, St. Mary's, F, Fr., Business, Parker, Texas (John Paul II HS)
St. Mary's forward Taylor Haggan averaged a double-double – 14.0 points and 10.5 rebounds – adding five blocks and three steals in a two-game split that included a 49-47 upset win over Lubbock Christian, where the Rattlers held the Lady Chaps to their second-lowest scoring output of the season. Haggan stepped up with a short bench, with two-thirds of her rebounds off the defensive glass, limiting opponent opportunities as the Rattlers held West Texas A&M and LCU to a combined .347 field goal percentage. The double-doubles give Haggan seven on the year and moves her eight points away from tying the St. Mary's single-season freshman scoring record.
