All 14 Lone Star Conference women’s soccer teams have played at least four matches. No. 12 DBU (3-0-1), Oklahoma Christian (4-0-1) and UT Tyler (5-0) are the remaining unbeaten teams. Texas Woman’s (4-1) has won four in a row after dropping its first match.
 
As far as statistical leaders, UT Tyler has the top scoring average at 4.2 goals per match. The Patriots are also allowing a league-low .20 goals per match, followed by Angelo State and TWU with .60 each. Individually, UT Tyler’s Natalie Jones owns the points lead with 10 (four goals and two assists). She also leads the LSC with three game-winning goals. UT Tyler’s Emily Clark has not allowed a goal over five matches.
 
Conference play begins Wednesday (Sept. 25) with six matches on the schedule.
 
The LSC Women’s Soccer Championship is set for Nov. 12, 15 and 17. Quarterfinals will be on campus, while the semifinals and championship match will be at the site of the No. 1 seed.

OFFENSIVE
Giselle Gutierrez, Texas Woman’s, F, So., Accounting, Texas Woman’s
Texas Woman’s sophomore forward Giselle Gutierrez fueled a pair of victories by scoring a goal each game, including the only score in a win over Harding. Gutierrez also had the first goal of a 2-1 match against Ouachita Baptist. She fired six shots – three on goal – and helped the Pioneers extend their win streak to four matches.
 
DEFENSIVE
Brooklyn Robinson, UT Tyler, D, Gr., Business Administration, Spring, Texas
UT Tyler defender Brooklyn Robinson helped the Patriots stay unbeaten on the season with shutout wins over Ouachita Baptist and Harding. Robinson and company topped Harding 1-0 on the road. During the Patriots’ 5-0 start, Robinson has helped them allow just one goal.
 
GOALKEEPER
Amber Lockwood, Angelo State, GK, Sr., Aviation, San Antonio, Texas
Angelo State senior goalkeeper Amber Lockwood posted a pair of shutouts with seven saves against MSU-Denver and Regis. Lockwood leads the conference with four shutouts over five matches against NCAA Division II competition. She played all 180 minutes of the 0-0 matches.
