Eastern New Mexico breaks records in 59-35 Chile Bowl win over Western New Mexico: Eastern New Mexico junior quarterback Jarius Stewart ran for an LSC record 373 yards and the Greyhounds racked up 712 yards on the ground – another conference mark – en route to a 59-35 win over Western New Mexico in the Chile Bowl game at Steve Loy Family Foundation Stadium. Stewart carried the ball 33 times and had five touchdowns. He broke the league record of 342 yards set by Northeastern State Carlton Boothe in 1998. The Greyhounds’ rushing mark was just seven yards shy of the NCAA Division II’s record set in 1971. Stewart had at least one touchdown in all four quarters – three of them allowed ENMU to tie or take the lead and two were for over 50 yards. He also threw one pass for 38 yards. Demarion Finch ran for 125 yards and a TD on 15 carries. ENMU was led on defense by Dylan Quartieri’s seven tackles – 3.5 for loss – and 1.5 sacks. DJ Moore also had a sack and Stanton Chambers forced a fumble. WNMU’s Connor Ackerley was 22 of 32 passing for 314 and four TDs – two to Davey Morales (seven catches for 114 yards) with no interceptions. He also rushed for 47 yards and a score. Cole Lalama had a game-high 15 tackles, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery for the Mustangs. WNMU was up 28-24 at halftime. Complete Release

 
No. 23 UT Permian Basin tops West Texas A&M, 22-6: No. 23 UT Permian Basin allowed just six first downs and 187 yards of total offense to defeat West Texas A&M 22-6 at Astound Broadband Stadium. UTPB snapped a two-game skid and halted WT’s three-game winning streak. UTPB also recorded a third-quarter safety courtesy of freshman linebacker Warren Richardson. UTPB’s offense was led by Kanon Gibson, who led a 12-play, 75-yard TD drive on the game’s first possession. Angel Diaz connected on two field goals over 40 yards – one in each half. WT’s RJ Martinez was 29-for-45 passing for 293 yards and two scores without an interception. David deMenezes had a game-high 12 tackles and Andre Johnson had 2.5 sacks for the Buffs. Western Oregon extends winning streak with 34-27 victory at Texas A&M-Kingsville: Jordan McCarty passed for two touchdowns and Carson Workman ran for two more as Western Oregon went on the road to beat Texas A&M-Kingsville 34-27 at Javelina Stadium. WOU extended its winning streak to four games. McCarty was 16 of 28 for 180 yards passing and ran for 92 on 15 carries. Malcolm Liufau (12) and Aden Murphy (11) had double digit tackles and Malik Ross had an interception for the Wolves. Jack Turner was 29 of 4 for 297 yards passing and four TDs for TAMUK, which led 20-19 at halftime. Christian Kretz caught three of the TDs and caught five passes for 103 yards. No. 8 Central Washington powers past Midwestern State, 56-13: No. 8 Central Washington used a 35-point second quarter to top Midwestern State 56-13 in a game that featured five hours in lightning delays at Memorial Stadium. Kennedy McGill passed for two touchdowns and ran for two more to lead CWU’s offensive attack. He had 1856 yards rushing on 18 carries. Brett McCalla had a 90-yard interception return for a TD and Samaje Featherstone returned a kickoff 85 yards for a score to also help the Wildcats, who won their sixth straight game and stayed atop the LSC standings. Jalen Weber had eight tackles – seven solo – for CWU. Jakolby Longino passed for 236 yards and Jaden Coulter caught three of those for 122 yards to lead the Mustangs. No. 19 Angelo State rolls past Sul Ross State, 62-0: No. 19 Angelo State had 617 yards of total offense and rolled to a 62-0 win over Sul Ross State at Jackson Field. It was the second straight victory for the Rams, who scored at least two touchdowns in each quarter. Ayden Arp passed for three TDs and Jayden Jones (113 yards on 18 carries) ran for three scores. ASU’s Anthony Jones caught five passes for 121 yards and Hunter Wallis had two TD catches. Owen Seaver and Owen Henderson each had a sack for the Rams. Evian Thompson had a game-high 23 tackles – 17 solo – and a forced fumble for SRSU. His tackles are the most in a single game in the LSC this season. Complete Release
