With three weeks of the Lone Star Conference volleyball regular season remaining, only one team is unbeaten at 11-0: Lubbock Christian. The Lady Chaps (19-4 overall) have won 15 consecutive matches.
No. 14 West Texas A&M (17-4, 9-1 LSC) has won nine matches in a row, while Oklahoma Christian (14-7, 6-4 LSC) has prevailed in four straight matches.
Following LCU and WT in the league standings are Angelo State (14-7, 8-2 LSC), Texas Woman’s (14-7, 7-3) and UT Tyler (11-9, 7-3 LSC).
LCU and WT face off Tuesday (Oct. 28) at 6 p.m. CT in Canyon, Texas, to headline one of the nine matches across the LSC. The conference slate will then continue on Friday (Oct. 31) and Saturday (Nov. 1).
ASU junior outside hitter Madi Parrish was named the American Volleyball Coaches Association’s first
national player of the week of the 2025 season. She is just the second player in LSC history to win the award more than once (also
2024), joining West Texas A&M’s Sarah Butler, who won three times (1997, 1998 and 1999).
ASU is the favorite to win the LSC title this season, according the
preseason poll. Parrish, WT’s Taytum Stow and UT Tyler’s Saige Rivera were voted
preseason players of the year.
The LSC volleyball tournament will feature the top eight teams and is set for Nov. 20-22 at the site of the No. 1 seed.
Due to being NCAA Division II provisional members, UTD and SRSU are not eligible for the LSC tournament but are able to win the LSC regular season title and postseason awards.
