Division II Women's Basketball Bracket


Five Lone Star Conference women's basketball teams claimed spots in the 2025 NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Championship and will open tournament play at the South Central Regional March 14, 15 and 17 in Denton, Texas. All games will be played at Texas Woman's University in Kitty Magee Arena.
 
LSC champion Texas Woman's (31-1) claimed the league's automatic berth and No. 1 seed in the regional and will face No. 8 seed Adams Stats (19-11) in the opening round. TWU is making a fourth straight regional appearance and fifth overall. The Pioneers won the 2024 South Central Regional and finished the year as Division II national runner-up.
 
Following a run to the LSC Tournament final game, No. 2 seed Lubbock Christian (29-4) qualified for its ninth national tournament and eighth consecutive and face No. 7 UC-Colorado Springs (19-11). LCU won Division II national titles in 2016, 2019 and 2021.
 
UT Tyler (25-4) is playing in its third consecutive South Central Regional and is seeded No. 3 opening against Lone Star Conference rival and No. 6 seed West Texas A&M (18-12). UT Tyler won the 2023 region title and advanced to the Division II Elite Eight. WT is making a 29th trip to the NCAA postseason and first since 2023.
 
Eastern New Mexico (20-9) nabbed a No. 5 seeding and will open the postseason against No. 4 Colorado Mesa (25-2). The Greyhounds are playing in their first regional since 2019 and third tournament overall.
 
The winners of the TWU-Adams State and Colorado Mesa-ENMU quarterfinal games advance to meet in the semifinal round. The winners of the LCU-UCCS and UT Tyler-WT quarterfinal games will play in the semifinal round.
 
Tickets for each day are available for purchase here. Tickets will be sold online only – no cash will be accepted at the door. Tickets can be purchased for each day –$10 for general admission and $8 for youth/student/senior general admission. Please be aware that TWU does have a Clear Bag Policy.
 
Sixty-four teams fill the national tournament field with 23 teams qualifying via an automatic bid as conference champions, while the remaining 41 teams earn at-large bids. All eight regionals are eight-team brackets and played at campus sites March 14, 15 and 17. The eight regional winners advance to the March 24-28 Women’s Elite Eight at the UMPC Cooper Fieldhouse in Pittsburgh, Pa.
