Lone Star Conference softball ends the first half of the season's conference games on Friday (Mar. 21) and starts the last half of the LSC season on Sunday (Mar. 23). Cameron, Oklahoma Christian (Tuesday) and Texas Woman's (Wednesday) sneak in non-conference doubleheaders against GAC and MIAA opponents ahead of their LSC weekend sets.
 
West Texas A&M and UT Tyler sit atop the overall LSC standings at 18-2 with Angelo State right behind in third (17-3) with 24 conference games remaining. ... For the 2025 season, the East Division carries a 75-53 record against the West Division.
 
After the first week of division games (Mar. 13-16), UT Tyler and St. Edward's are tied in first in the East Division (4-0) while WT and ASU share the West Division lead at 4-0. ... OC, St. Mary's and TWU – all 2-2 over East Division opening games – are tied at third in the East Division. ... Both Lubbock Christian and Midwestern State posted 3-1 records to open their West Division schedule and are tied at third in the division.
 
The LSC continues to hold at four spots in the March 11 NFCA Top 25 Coaches Poll with UT Tyler remaining in the No. 1 position. WT jumped from No. 5 to No. 3 while ASU held at No. 4 and OC gained one spot to No. 18 from the March 4 to March 11 ranking.
 
LSC in the Polls . . .  
The winners of the LSC East and West Divisions earn an automatic berth in the eight-team LSC Softball Tournament. Seeding is determined by the conference record vs. all teams. The single-elimination league tournament is set for May 1-3 and hosted by the No. 1 seeded team. The 2025 LSC schedule is an LSC East-West Division format of doubleheader dates. Each team has a home/away set vs. each team within its division and a twin bill against each team in the opposite division for a 44-game LSC schedule.
 
LSC teams carry a combined 34-13 record against the RMAC/South Central Region opponents and an overall 52-18 against out-of-region Division II opponents (through March 16).

HITTER
Sloane Hill, St. Edward's, C, Jr., Kinesiology, Paris, Texas
Junior Sloane Hill finished the East Division-opening weekend hitting a combined .800 (8-for-10) with five extra-base hits and six RBI as St. Edward's swept doubleheaders vs. nationally ranked Oklahoma Christian and Cameron. In 5-4 game one win against OC, Hill doubled in the eighth then hit the walk-off RBI single to left center field to cap a 4-for-4 plate performance. The catcher hit a combined 4-for-5 with two home runs, two doubles and four RBI in the doubleheader against Cameron. Hill powered a 1.700 slugging percentage and drew five walks in the four games.
 
PITCHER
Kaylee Davis, UT Tyler, RHP, Sr., Biology, Blossom, Texas
Right-hander Kaylee Davis was solid in relief for UT Tyler, securing a win and a save over two appearances. Against Texas A&M International, Davis entered the nightcap with one out in the sixth inning and promptly struck out three of the last four batters faced to get the save in the Patriots' 5-3 win, her third of the year. In game one vs. Texas A&M-Kingsville, the freshman came on in relief in the first inning to throw 6.2 nearly perfect innings, surrendering just two hits while striking out four to pick up her fifth win of the season.
 
FRESHMAN
Raegan Sucher, Angelo State, P, Fr., Civil Engineering, Highland Village, Texas
Raegan Sucher threw a perfect 3.1 innings in relief across three appearances as Angelo State went 4-0 in the West Division-opening weekend. In the opener vs. Western New Mexico, Sucher combined with Cheyenne Floyd for the 6-0 shutout, throwing the final two innings in relief and striking out one batter. She came back in game two vs. WNMU to record the final out of the seventh inning, stranding two runners in scoring position and setting-up the Rambelles' five-run seventh in the 6-5 walk-off win for her first collegiate victory. Sucher closed her weekend throwing a perfect inning in the 10-1, five-inning game one victory over Eastern New Mexico.
