DBU (27-4 overall, 19-3 LSC) won its first regular season conference championship to earn the event’s top seed. The Patriots, who also earned the league’s East Division title at 13-1, have won 13 of their last 14 games and have been ranked inside the top 10 in the national polls throughout most of the season. DBU is making its sixth consecutive appearance in the LSC tournament and will take on No. 8 seed ASU (17-11, 13-9) in Friday’s quarterfinal at 6 p.m. CT. The Rams are making their 12th straight appearance in the event and has won three LSC tournament titles (1984, 1988 and 1989).

LCU (23-7, 18-4 LSC) received the No. 2 seed. The Chaps, who won the West Division title at 11-3, have won 11 of their last 12 games. LCU is making its sixth straight appearance in the LSC tournament and reached the championship game last year. In a rematch of last year’s title game, LCU will play No. 7 seed and defending LSC tournament champion Eastern New Mexico (18-10, 13-9 LSC) in the quarterfinals at 2:30 p.m. CT. ENMU, which also raised the trophy in 1993, is making its 25th appearance in the tourney.

MSU (22-6, 17-5 LSC) will be the No. 3 seed and take on No. 6 seed WT (18-10, 13-9) in the quarterfinals at Noon CT. MSU returns to the LSC tournament after a two-year absence. The Mustangs have won seven LSC tournament crowns, with the last one coming in 2016. WT has won the most conference tournament titles with 12, including a run of six straight from 2018-2023. The Buffs also own the top winning percentage at the event at .714 (50-20).

StMU (19-9, 16-6 LSC) is the No. 4 seed and will take on No. 5 seed SEU (20-11, 14-8 LSC) in the quarterfinals at 8:30 p.m. CT. It will be the third straight games the Rattlers and Hilltoppers will play against each other. SEU prevailed 80-73 in Austin, Texas on Feb. 26 and 67-65 in San Antonio, Texas on March 1. StMU returns to the LSC tournament after a one-year absence, while SEU is making its sixth straight appearance.

Saturday’s semifinals will feature the DBU/ASU winner against the StMU/SEU winner at 6 p.m. CT and the LCU/ENMU winner against the MSU/WT winner at 8:30 p.m. CT. Sunday’s title game will tip at 3:30 p.m. CT.
