Lone Star Conference teams face short preparation time for the week’s doubleheaders as game days move up to Wednesday and Friday (April 16, 18) due to Easter Sunday.  …  Texas Woman’s travels to UT Tyler on April 22 to complete the East Division home-and-home twinbill weather-delayed from April 6.
 
West Texas A&M (34-2 LSC) continues to lead the LSC overall standings. UT Tyler (30-4 LSC), Angelo State (28-8) and Oklahoma Christian (24-12) remain in second, third and fourth, respectively.
 
West Division leader WT carries a perfect mark in division play (20-0 West) with ASU second (15-5 West). In the East, UT Tyler (16-2 East) maintains its division lead ahead of Oklahoma Christian in second (14-6 East).
 
Angelo State, Lubbock Christian and West Texas A&M each swept their two doubleheaders and were the only LSC teams to post 4-0 marks over the April 7-13 week.  …  Cameron and UT Tyler were each 5-1 while Eastern New Mexico (3-3) and St. Mary’s (2-2) split against their opponents.
 
LSC in the Polls . . .
West Texas A&M moved to No. 1 in the NFCA coaches poll for the first time this season as UT Tyler, Angelo State and Oklahoma Christian held their positions from week eight.  …  The LSC has ruled the NFCA poll in 2025, with a conference team ranked No. 1 in nine of the 10 polls to date. UT Tyler listed in the top spot from the preseason through week 7 and after a one week lapse, WT is No. 1 for week nine.  
The first Division II softball regional rankings will be released alphabetically on Wednesday (April 16), followed by numerical ranking on April 23 and 30. ... LSC teams carry a combined 34-13 record against RMAC/South Central Region opponents and an overall 56-20 against out-of-region Division II opponents (through April 13).
 
The winners of the LSC East and West Divisions will earn an automatic berth in the eight-team LSC Softball Tournament. Seeding is determined by the conference record vs. all teams. The single-elimination league tournament is set for May 1-3 and hosted by the No. 1 seeded team. The 2025 LSC schedule is an LSC East-West Division format of doubleheader dates. Each team has a home/away set vs. each team within its division and a twin bill against each team in the opposite division for a 44-game LSC schedule.
 

LSC SOFTBALL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK Games April 7-13
 
HITTER
Kendra Levesque, Lubbock Christian, 1B, Sr., Teaching, Albuquerque, N.M.
First baseman Kendra Levesque was a driving force at the plate over Lubbock Christian’s 4-0 week, hitting .750 (6-for-8), delivering five RBI and scoring six times while reaching base in 11 of 13 plate appearances over doubleheader sweeps of UT Permian Basin and Sul Ross State. Against UTPB opened 3-for-4 at the plate with two doubles and a pair of RBIs in game one and added a solo home run in game two. She capped the weekend scoring three runs and another two-hit, two-RBI showing in the final game vs. SRSU. Levesque was perfect with bases empty and as a leadoff hitter while playing flawless defense at first base with 21 putouts and an assist.
 
PITCHER
Emilee Boyer, West Texas A&M, RHP, Jr., Healthcare Administration, Harrisburg, S.D.
West Texas A&M right-hander Emilee Boyer held Western New Mexico and Eastern New Mexico hitters to a combined .143 batting average while totaling 21 strikeouts over 16 innings of work. Boyer tossed three shutout innings in the opener vs. WNMU allowing just one hit, then came back in game two for six more shutout innings with 10 strikeouts and one hit allowed. The junior opened the ENMU doubleheader with an inning of work then recorded the win in game two, tossing six innings with eight strikeouts. On offense, Boyer hit her 50th career home run and hit .500 with five runs, eight RBI, and four walks over the four games.
 
FRESHMAN
Randi Crawford, Texas Woman’s, P, Fr., Biology, Blossom, Texas
In four appearances and three starts, Texas Woman’s pitcher Randi Crawford recorded 22 strikeouts and a shutout against UT Tyler, St. Mary’s and St. Edward’s. After recording five strikeout performances vs. both UTT and St. Mary’s, Crawford tossed a one-hitter in Sunday’s opener against SEU, giving up only a seventh inning single to center field in the complete-game 3-0 shutout. Crawford recorded the 5-3 win in game one vs. StMU. In her 23.1 innings, Crawford gave up only one extra-base hit -- a double among nine hits.
