The 2025 Lone Star Conference Baseball Championship field of seven teams is set following the conclusion of the regular season on Sunday evening (April 27). Teams clinching a spot are Angelo State, UT Tyler, St. Edward’s, Lubbock Christian, West Texas A&M, St. Mary’s and Texas A&M-Kingsville.

The conference championship is a two-week event. The first week includes three, best-of-three series on May 2-4 (Friday-Sunday), hosted by the No. 2, 3 and 4 seeds (UT Tyler, St. Edward’s and Lubbock Christian). The winner of each opening series will advance to a double-elimination format on May 8-10 (Thursday-Saturday) hosted by LSC regular season champion Angelo State – who receives a first-round bye – at Foster Field at 1st Community Credit Union Stadium in San Angelo, Texas.

ASU (41-7 overall) won the LSC title for the eighth time in program history – and third time in four years – with a 39-7 record. The Rams are ranked No. 1 in national polls and enter the event on an 11-game winning streak. They lead the league in batting (.378) and fielding percentage (.977). The Rams have won the conference tournament title five times, including the last time they hosted in 2023. They went on to win the national title that year and were the national runner-ups last year.

No. 2 seed UT Tyler (41-9, 40-8) will host No. 7 seed Texas A&M-Kingsville (27-23, 26-22 LSC) at Irwin Field in Tyler, Texas. UT Tyler, which is ranked inside the top 6 in the national polls, leads the league in pitching (3.81 ERA) and is on an LSC-best 14-game winning streak. TAMUK won the LSC tournament in 2013. The two teams will play Friday at 1 p.m. CT, Saturday at 7 p.m. CT and Sunday (if necessary) at 1 p.m. CT.

No. 3 seed SEU (32-18, 31-17 LSC) will host No. 6 seed St. Mary’s (28-22, 26-22 LSC) at Lucian-Hamilton Field in Austin, Texas. SEU is receiving votes in the national polls. The two teams will square off Friday at Noon CT, Saturday at 1 p.m. CT and Sunday (if necessary) at 1 p.m. CT.

No. 4 seed LCU (31-19, 30-18 LSC), which is the defending conference tournament champion, will host No. 5 seed West Texas A&M at Hays Field in Lubbock, Texas. LCU has hit the most home runs in the league with 81. WT won the LSC tourney in 2016 and 2017. The clubs will play Friday at 6 p.m. CT, Saturday at 3 p.m. CT and Sunday (if necessary) at 1 p.m. CT.

The opening series host teams will be the home team in the scorebook every game. Each game will be scheduled for nine innings and the 10-run rule will also be in effect.

Every game of the LSC Men's Baseball Championship will be available to watch on FloCollege. Monthly and annual subscriptions are available.

The winner of the event will be named the LSC Baseball Tournament Champion and earn the league's automatic qualification to the 2025 NCAA Division II Baseball Championship.
